We’re wine snobs but knew little about Sonoma (shameful, I know). So when the weather altered our plan and diverted us to the Sonoma Valley, we reached out to a local expert. She sent us to Bump winery for an authentic Sonoma experience and we’ll be forever grateful. Not only is the wine fantastic, but the winemaker is also local, passionate about conservation, and extremely knowledgeable about the area and its history. We also loved the art in the tasting room and if it is still there on our next visit, a piece might need to come home with us.

This was our first tasting on our trip to Sonoma. Owner was so very nice. She answered all of our questions and was very informative. Wine was excellent

We stopped by Bump this afternoon for a wine tasting and were so happy we found this place! The location is family run, and you get an inviting feeling the moment you come in. Geordie (owner) walked us through the entire tasting which we enjoyed so much we walked out with two bottles. I always look for wineries where you have a chance to chat with someone passionate about their product. Bump was definitely that type of winery, and I suggest you stop by next time you are in Sonoma!
Really delicious wine, and the owner was so nice. He had a very calm and relaxed personality matching the quaint atmosphere that made you want to stay all day. Only had space in my suitcase for a couple bottles, but now that I'm home enjoying one, I should have bought a whole case, or 2!

Amazing tasting room with stylish decor, art exposition and of course great wine! For just $10 (refundable with purchase) you can taste 4 great wines and hear their story directly from the owner of winery. I really like here all wines with Zinfandel being the highlight. Highly recommended!
We loved this spot. Had a great time chatting with and getting to know the owner Mieko. Wine was also great! Highly recommend stopping by for a tasting.
Bump Wine cellars is an absolutely beautiful spot, right off the Sonoma square, with wonderful ambiance and very good wine. They often have a rotating gallery of local artists on the walls. It is a great place to relax and sit with friends on a sunny afternoon. One of my favorite parts is that the owners of the tasting room and of the winery are a husband and wife team, Mieko and Geordie, and almost always one of them will be there in person to pour. They are incredibly knowledgeable and also just very sweet people.

One of our absolute favorite spots here in town. We are locals and buy/drink lots of Bump wine. GREAT wine. Nice folks. Wine is worth every penny. Nice tasting room and vibe.

I wandered in exhausted one evening last week. Mieko was very nice and understanding - she provided all sorts of information on Bump as well as Sonoma. She's just the right balance of outgoing and personal. Their wines are really good too.
This is a Pinot Noir drinkers dream. I don't even like pinot noir normally, but theirs is quite impressive. It's a quaint little place and we were waited on by one of the winemakers (which was very nice as he gave us a nice run down of their wines). They only make about 5 types of wine, but each one is very unique and is crafted with a lot of thought.
