If you’re looking for an authentic Mexican restaurant to try out give these guys a shot! We saw that this location just opened recently and had to give it a shot and we were impressed. I’m a fan of birria tacos and they are phenomenal here that’s for sure. Loved the plantains and the rice and beans were both great too. Authentic for sure, glad I found this place yesterday evening! My boyfriend loves Birria tacos and he said the quality here was really well made/delicious and one of the best he’s ever had! I got the beans and cheese enchiladas (perfect that it comes with a side of beans, rice, pico). Very friendly people running this spot, definitely a hidden gem in Fairmount, very nice/clean and super kind/ fast service! We will be back :) Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

A local Mexican restaurant serving up authentic tasty food for a very reasonable price. They recently opened in the Fairmount neighborhood and it feels like the perfect hidden gem. Excellent variety on their menu and high quality food. The wait staff is kind and thoughtful and I will most definitely be a regular customer. Came here recently for a company department lunch. Walking in, I was already getting great vibes by the decorations and the ambiance. We were greeted and seated by the staff and I was actually afraid our number of people was going to spell trouble for the service, we had about 20 ppl 👥👥. Anything could have been gotten mixed up in the orders or a dish could've came out bad. But I was gleefully surprised. Granted, there wasn't enough staff to cover being timely with the food for our large group, but the dishes came out *chef's kiss* 💋 🤌🧑‍🍳 Perfecto. Definitely recommend the Chori-Pollo, it has a Chorizo and grilled chicken mix and has this whitish sauce with black beans and Mexican rice. I ate the whole plate, it was sabroso. Or you can try the Birria tacos, You can't go wrong with that. A lot of colleagues got that dish and all said it was very good. Another colleague ordered the Chimichanga, so it got a beauty shot for the review, and it looked good. But it just sat there while we ate because that colleague had to leave to catch a meeting. Buena Vista is a great addition to the neighborhood with great food, reasonable prices, and friendly service! We tried the chips and guacamole, Al Pastor tacos, enchiladas, and beef taco/tamale entrees, which were all great. The entrees come with more toppings than expected which added a ton of flavor. They do have an alcohol license and make a good margaritas, and have a variety of Jarritos and other drinks available. I live in the neighborhood and waited with high hopes for this place to finally open and I was not disappointed! The food was delicious! Flavorful and perfectly cooked. We went there with our family (including young kids) and everyone was comfortable. The mole sauce and guacamole were 🤌🏽 *chef's kiss*. We will definitely be going back often! After sitting empty in Fairmount for many years the addition of Buena Vista is certainly welcome. There aren’t enough low key options in the neighborhood like this. I was expecting standard Mexican fare but the birra tacos were the best I’ve ever had. The jus was magic. The decor and atmosphere is festive but not cheesy. Unfortunately service was pretty slow and would have ordered more if it were snappier but it definitely won’t prevent me from returning. Nice addition to the neighborhood with plenty of seating and good service. The menu and flavors are identical to the other locations outside the city, which is above average Mexican fare. Bar wasn't open yet. Will be back to review further once alcohol can be served and the kitchen gets into the groove.
