I went to Brick and Brew on State Street on 3/24/24. The food was excellent. I truly enjoyed my meal. The low point of my day was the horrible service and treatment I received from Javan (the bartender). It took him five minutes (I timed him with my watch). When we asked him if he was ok, he said I am concentrating. I wonder what he was concentrating on? When the bill arrived, I asked him for my veterans discount. He said we don't give a veterans discount. I told him there was a sign in the window. He said, I can't see the sign. He also stated that no-one told him veterans get a discount. Then he said I have to ask my manager. When the manager came over, he said he needs a discount. If he did not know about the discount, he should have been courteous and said let me check with my manager and not treat me in a disrespectful manner. Is that how they treat veterans in Brick and Brew? Either way, the manager gave me my veterans discount. Even though Javan was disrespectful, I gave him a 15% tip. Food: 4 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 4

Drinks and food were good, leaving a bad review after the bartender asked me and my 2 girlfriends to get up to let other people waiting for the bar sit down at 9:30pm. The bar was full, however there were tables available for the 2 women waiting to sit down. Never have I been asked to get up after spending nearly $200 in food + tip. Theres just things you don’t do in the service industry and it’s ask customers to get up and leave your bar, regardless of how long they’ve been sitting there. It made us end the night on a sour note. Price per person $50–100 Food: 4 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 2

My husband, toddler, and I frequent this location at least 1-2x a month. It's a family friendly restaurant with consistently excellent food, drinks, atmosphere, and service. We have yet to be disappointed. The menu is a bit on the pricier side, but the quality of their food and drinks are worth it, in my opinion. Their cocktails are the best around - the Marilyn Monroe is my absolute favorite, but I also enjoy the Whiskey Sour. We love the confit wings and the Southwest Salad with salmon is my go-to. I recently brought my friend for her first time and she loved it, especially the cauliflower appetizer. Jamie has been my waitress a couple times now and has always been friendly, prompt, and ready to help with suggestions, even on the busier days! I'm already excited for our next trip in. Lovely drinks! Had the Ellsworth (purple with pea or Hibiscus?) flower, Pumpkin Martini (photo with a bit of the menu) & Manhattan (mahogany colored drink)! The food needed some heat before being served & the environment was really lovely for the most part besides some of the seating indoor. Our waiter was really nice and attentive but it was weird where they had us sitting as the staff was standing on the other side of the bar & were like gossiping in the corner about the patrons; it just felt uncomfortable & you couldn’t watch the Phillies game without making awkward eye contact with someone already staring at you cause the kitchen door (where we were at) was right below the tv. Parking is on the side or where available. Would recommend again/come back but I’d probably sit outside again in the early evening as the food was still delicious! First time there in years! Renovations look amazing, bar is way bigger. The drinks were awesome had the watermelon and pineapple margaritas and my friend had the gin drink with pea flower- forget what it's called. I highly recommend the deviled eggs with shrimp. Mahi tacos were also awesome. Definitely going back soon to try some other things. Wish they were open a little bit later. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
