Come for a meal after seeing Discovery Space of Central Pennsylvania. Enjoy perfectly cooked bison burgers, onion strings and penne pasta at this bar when you happen to be near it. Tasty brioches are the tastiest dishes. Drink delicious draft beer or good whiskey, it's a must while visiting BRGR. Great milkshakes will make your meal better and you'll surely come back. The convenient location of this place makes it easy to reach by any transport. A lot of guests find that prices are attractive for what you receive. There is a lovely atmosphere and beautiful decor at this spot. As for the Google rating, this bar achieved 4.

Nice spot with a cool former bank set up. I had the smash burger, which was good. I ordered tater tots too and those came as a very large basket. Would return. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Friday night is date night. Last week we checked out BRGR State College. As typical, my husband started with beer, I started with Pinot Grigio, drinks came quick, delightfully chilled and generous. I had the poutine fries with an egg and beef short ribs, beyond delicious although both Hubby and I found the gravy a bit on the salty side. It’s listed as an appetizer on the menu, but the portion was huge; I will get 2 meals out of it. The coleslaw though, one of the best I’ve ever had!!! All kinds of fresh crispness, delicately seasoned, not too sweet but just enough tang! Bruce built his own Bison Burger, it was ginormous and he said it was perfection! I ended my meal with a coffee milkshake, a glass full of frozen deliciousness! We will definitely go back 😁 Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5

BRGR seems like a popular spot for burgers in downtown State College! With lots of competition in the area, it's definitely a good sign that they're able to stand out by serving delicious burgers. Spot-on service. As first-time diners at BRGR, it was great to be served by Mawi, who is a very fast, friendly, knowledgeable server. The food was cooked to order and delicious. Certain aspects of this place are great but others are not so great. When I first started coming in here I thought the burgers were really tasty, but the last time I was in the burger buns were really dry. I don’t know if there is a new recipe for the buns or watt but they did not taste the same. I will say the onion rings were fantastic and the milkshake was bomb. Some friends and I visited this establishment a few weeks back and the sour taste has yet to leave my mouth. I’ve spent a few weeks to formulate this review and I feel it is now suitable to be published. Although the fried pickles and poutine were to par, my burger was quite underwhelming. The meat was cold, the bun was stale, and generally unseasoned. Along with that, the waitress provided a service you would expect at Denny’s. As a person with a disease where I cannot eat without water, I was severely disappointed with the lack of refills. We waited nearly 30 minutes with all of our glasses empty after requesting refills twice. Once the waitress understood the need, she lazily brought out a pitcher instead of filling our glasses individually. For a $15 burger I expect my water filled by the waitress. For a quick drink at the bar, BRGR could be the place to go, but avoid for a dinner with friends. The food was not worth the astronomical hole it left in my pocket nor was the abysmal service. Literally terrible. I ordered the mushroom burger, which looked pretty good, but I never got to eat it because my cat got loose and ate it! It was a huge bummer after walking nearly 3 miles in the rain through mud and dirt. On my way out, the entryway was covered in muddy footprints (ugh). The waitstaff were absolutely horrible. One waiter was walking around with a beard (like, growing on hid face!), and our waitress was SO fake!. She was all like, "How are y'all doing today?" and "What can I get for you?". Ugh. The decorating was cool though. They have lights hanging from the ceiling that give is a rustic/mysterious vibe. But, as always, they did not compensate for my debilitating blindness. I could barely see my food, or my cat when she escaped! Ultimately, the WORST experience of my life, other that that small period of time I was in prison. The food is great we had the byson burgers, a chicken sandwich some wings and a chicken salad. Group of 6 and for the most part they were not busy. I saw maybe 2 waitresses and a nice gentleman that was helping from the kitchen coming out and working with tables. Our waitress we saw when she took our order and then for better part disappeared. The gentleman from the kitchen brought out our food and from there he helped our table out more than our actual waitress did. Service was very slow and one of our friends had to ask 2 times for her drink. Burgers came out before fries did and we had to continue reminding them of things we ordered that were missing from our orders. As I said food was good when we got it. But service very very slow. BRGR is a clean cut burger joint 🍔. It’s usually always packed, so the energy is present! The food was pretty good! Milkshakes were a little thin for me. I got the Gigi, a secret menu item burger (must request from Gigi herself!) Sweet potato fries were delicious 🍠, but fries aren’t included 🍟!
