Driving up, the parking lot is free of potholes, parking is clearly marked, and the minimal landscaping is appealing and well maintained. The building is aesthetically pleasing, and while it blends in with the surroundings, it draws you in. Walking in, you are immediately greeted. Wonderful aromas of breads and baked goods fill the air. We could not help ourselves picking up more than we actually needed. The service was quick and friendly, and the prices are reasonable. Wonderful local bakery. The Sourdough loaf was great as are the pretzels. Deserts look fantastic but I have given sweets up for Lent. Service Take out Meal type Other Price per person $1–10 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Pretzels

What a lovely person! I came in at the last minute and just wanted to get a few things to try. She was patient and just overall so delightful. The spice cookies and streusel were sampled immediately in the parking lot. I almost cried happy tears. I will be back early in the day so I can get my hands on some of the bread, it definitely sells out. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

We used to love this place. Like most people in this economy, we’ve been trying to save money so hadn't been in a few months, but felt the calling today and went by for a few goodies. After a sampling taste of what we got, I realized I should have ignored the calling because every single bite of our assortment was a total disappointment! Not one single item was up to the standards it used to be!!! In fact, most was downright inedible! Like I said, we USED TO love this place!! Food: 1 Service: 1

Yummy!!! A delightful little treat while on our travels. You won't find a better sourdough in the DFW area. Buy lots, trust me. Update after three years. Still good!! I'm on a sugar cleanse and was able to buy a few delicious items made with natural sweetener and no sugar. The sourdough is delicious. Loved their apricot scones. Delicious pecan pie.
Great Bakerie. German style bread and kuchen. They go easy on the sugar. Just the way I like it. Brötchen are yummy. Pretzels are great and not over salted. We love it and will be back. Service Take out Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Rude owner with dry and overpriced food. I lived in Germany for 10 years so I know what it is supposed to taste like. This place would never make it there. I tried to go 3 more times hoping for different results. Didn't happen. My last time a few weeks ago I asked one question. When one of their seasonal items would be available and the owner looked at me with what l will describe as anger and disgust in her eyes. I will never shop here again. Central Market in Southlake has better bread anyway. Food: 2 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 2

Being German, I’m typically disappointed by American pastries as they are so incredibly sweet that you can only have a few bites. I was so happy to find this German bakery which offers a variety of baked goods - pastries, pies, cookies, bread - just to mention a few. All of which are so flavorful but not overwhelming sweet. A must have is the pretzel. They only had one left by the time I got there, but next time, I’m getting there early so I can get a few more. Tip - order your bread a few days in advance to ensure you get the loafs you want.
