Went through Alpine on our way back from Big Bend. And it was absolutely the best bakery I’ve ever been to. Breakfast sandwiches were phenomenal. So were the lunch sandwiches. The cinnamon roll was wonderful. But the sourdough bread…is the best bread ever. We brought a loaf home and eat it with everything. I hope she builds a website so I can order bread from her on the weekly. She was very friendly and a HARD worker. She should be proud. Dropping by and filling up with food made our 10 hour drive back home so much easier.

Stopped here for breakfast on our drive back from Terlingua to Austin. Savory pastries were fresh from the oven and delicious. Ordered a breakfast sandwich that was made fresh on a homemade English muffin with sharp white cheddar and bacon. I would definitely come back.

Friends in Alpine referred us to the Garden Bakery for lunch on a Thursday afternoon. We chose the chicken with rice out of the refrigerator, and heated it in the microwave at the bakery. YUM!!!
We also bought 2 containers of the organic oatmeal with nuts, raisins and seeds, for breakfast the next day. OH MY!
This food is incredible!
We will go back for more on our next trip!!

Please stop at this little jewel!!! Clean pure ingredients transformed into beautiful pieces of artful bakery. Delicious!!! Stock up before your trip into the remote Southwest/BigBend national park. ENJOY!!!
