Menu in room says they do room service, but reception says they don't. Went down to restaurant and waited FORTY minutes for a waiter to take my order, had to get up and ask them to take my order, which they did straight away, because they weren't busy! Then waited another FORTY minutes for food to arrive, sat at an unpleasant table, I was really not happy. The food did not make up for the service. Menu was so promising, with local food, but they wasted my time, not how I wanted to spend my limited time in Kirkenes.

Schwer zu sagen wie das Essen ist da wir uber 30 min auf den Kellner gewartet haben, rechts und links von uns wurde normal bedient. Er hat uns offensichtlich ignoriert warum wissen wir nicht. Sind dann hungrig zuruck aufs Zimmer... Die bewertung hat nichts mit dem Hotel zu tun da ist alles ok..

I’m upvoting this a bit, but the service has been impeccable. We got two entrees, both were good (not getting into Michelin anytime soon, but edible). I haven’t compared to other prices locally, but I’d say it’s a smidge on the high side (comparing to Bergen, for instance). Food quality was pretty good - definitely didn’t hate anything. I have low expectations for chain hotels usually, but this was good. I’ve come back to restaurants like this at home and been happy. The staff was friendly and attentive, plus the food was good. No complaints!
Nice place, kind of. Food quality much lower than expected and service lacks motivation. Or maybe there was not enough staff, i don't know. Would not eat here again if it doesn't change significantly.
