Had lunch here last week and it was awesome! I got the Smothered Chicken which was beautifully tender and the smothered gravy it was in was very flavorful. Mac and Cheese and cornbread! The Mac was your traditional Mac and Cheese but the cornbread was perfect, moist and not too crumbly. I also shared a large order of Yuca Fries with my friend. Those were awesome, perfectly done! Great quick service, everyone was friendly and had good suggestions. This is a good feeling meal, tastes like your grandma's home cooked meal..very comforting! 10/10 will be back again! Cheers! My husband and I went to Brasa for the first time for lunch. We ended up sharing a plate of the smothered rotisserie chicken, had a side of fried plantains and added a side of sweet, candy yams. The food was outstanding. I was surprised by this smothered chicken, not being spicy, but it was tender and delicious, and I wish I’d had my own plate to myself. The fried plantains were crispy and flavorful, sweet and sticky the way I like them The candy yams were also very well done. I was impressed by the meal and I really liked the speed of service. I was a little taking it back by the cost of the meals sharing a plate with my husband was $24. We both felt like it wasn’t enough food to share but at the same time for first time meal we didn’t know if we wanted to go all in on a $50 lunch for two . I would recommend this if it’s in your price range I’m glad they’re in the Hopkins area because they are providing high-quality food with great service within walking distance of my house Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Full Candied Yams
Food was okay, not quite as good as other locations, but they have also changed the quality of items over all. The Mac and cheese changed and is not quite on the same level it used to be. Same with the cornbread. The pulled chicken was great as always, the chicken was just a little off from every other experience, I've had at the other locations (skin wasn't bite through and was much more dry than usual). Fish was great, but the sauce that accompanied it was off in taste and even the color was off from what I've had 50 times in the past. This location is rough to eat inside during the winter months. Our food got cool within minutes, just from the customers opening the door to come in and out. As soon as that door opens a rush of outside air shoots through the entire restaurant. We were on the complete opposite corner from the doors, but still felt it. Only cheap plastic utensils the night we were there. Staff was awesome and very nice. Love having this in Hopkins. Consistently very high quality food. It costs money, though, because good ingredients do. There is no value menu. The whole menu is a good value if you understand food. Food was excellent; had the fried fish bowl and vegan bowl. Bowl composition was thoughtful and executed well; hot things were very hot, cold things were nice and cold. Crunchy, creamy, salty, sweet, spicy; balanced. Service was attentive and then appreciably out of the way, allowing us a peaceful lunch. Atmosphere is uninteresting. Good temperature, lighting is (too?) bright. But atmosphere is not a deterrent, just not a highlight. To the naysayers who want more chicken for the money, DQ is next door and would be happy to cater to your… taste. Yeah, we’ll call it “taste”. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 3

A few of my friends mentioned recently how much they love Brasa and encouraged me to stop by the location that just opened near me in Hopkins. I didn’t have a plan for dinner last night and so I placed an order and picked it up on my way home. I’m so glad I did. The food was AMAZING! My order was ready in under 20 minutes, packaged perfectly, and the people at the restaurant were really friendly. Did I mention the food? There’s something magical about that green sauce….and there were plenty of options for my newly vegetarian 15 yo. I’m definitely coming back. Maybe this week. We got about $70-80 worth of food and it didn’t taste that great but aside from that I took one bite out of my sandwich and spotted mold on it. Now we don’t even really want to eat what’s left over. Service Take out Meal type Dinner Price per person $50–100 Food: 1 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 3

Been waiting to eat here for weeks but sadly disappointed. Chicken is good but not as tasty as people said. Very plain. Mac and cheese is very tasty but it's too soupy. Best to eat with a spoon. Speaking of a spoon.....tough food to eat with plastic silverware. I think with the overpriced food they should spring for real silverware and dishes. Worst of all our entire meal was lukewarm at best. Should be MUCH hotter!! Chicken, cheese, etc.....breeding ground for bacteria when not kept properly Food: 3 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 2

Hopkins must be hurting for good restaurants. Seeing all the good reviews for Brasa is quite astonishing. The service and people are good and fine, but the food is more on the bland side for spices reminding me of the fact that it is just a fast food place. However, the price for it is pretty high considering the portion sizes and the quality of it. If you are looking to get a bite-sized snack of ok chicken while emptying your wallet and not filling your stomach, this place is just for you. If you enjoy a little bit of curry with tons of rice, OR a tiny bite of chicken AND you could eat yellow rice FOR DAYS, this is your place! We were so excited to go but oh so disappointed! We joked about how the manager was looking over the staff's shoulders as they were dishing up the meals - encouraging more rice, more rice and tiny, tiny portions of everything else -"no not so much, try more rice". I had the vegan bowl and added a piece of chicken. The bowl didn't even have a quarter cup of curry and it only covered one side of the rice- it was good but not enough to even be able to enjoy it- I'm talking 4-5 small bites. The rest of the bowl included copious amounts of rice (they did a good job of disguising in the presentation). The piece of chicken was amazingly small - and then I removed the big bone. Sigh.....And that all came to $17.63. I felt like I was eating rice forever and still threw away a huge portion. My friend had a platter and honestly he had enough rice for a family of four at a sit down dinner w/ leftovers! He went to the counter and added another piece of chicken once we sat down to get some adequate food. We thought they were closed when arriving- Thursday early evening, we were the only ones. Maybe not the best strategy to crazy skimp on portions (except the rice) in their first month open! But hey, more profit right😆 Adios! Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 2

Flavorful chicken and mouth-watering rice and peas. Brings back great memories, as this is something I had growing up in a Caribbean household. Wish I had known and visited their other locations prior to discovering the newly opened hopkins location, as I was missing out. Looking forward to many more visits and trying other dishes. Portion size did feel a bit less for what you pay for, but I’m sure they’re using higher quality ingredients. Location is a bit small, would recommend take out, ordering through the app, or go during non-peak hours. Service Take out Meal type Dinner Price per person $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
