I feed a latte, but they use one of those machines you find in office pantry or hotel meeting rooms, which is OK.
The egg mayo sandwich seems to be with pre scrambled eggs, which I saw warmed up in the microwave. It served when a small salad topped with balsamic vinegar and cappers, which I find it to be unusual for Malaysia. I wish they would have put the slice of cheep on the top before warming up the eggs in the microwave.
Overall, it seemed a bit overpriced considering the quality and environment, but it seems popular in the morning. I think some hotel nearby gives breakfast coupons for this place.

Found this place for western style coffee. Had the hot Cappuccino and it was descent enough. We went around 8am and all the pastries were sold out. Apparently quite a popular little joint for brekkie. The shop is a small cafe setting and it was packed. Good ambient with cute writing hanging on the walls. Same owner as the Borne Rock Restaurant where they can prepare the seafood you purchase from the market for about RM20 for 1 Kg.

Decent coffee and food.
Local staff can be more attentive. I was chatting with the Chinese manager for 15 minutes while they forgot about my food order and stood around until I asked them about it.

Visited at mid-January.
An extraordinary cafe hidden at a corner of Semporna town. If you favour something other than seafood fiesta, just drop by this amazing cafe. The food is amazing and superb, while the atmosphere is simply serene and chillax. Zapiekanka is a must try, all favours are awesome.
When we were there, just nice the shop owner is in and had a nice chat with us. Apparently he is from Malacca and decided to venture into business after visiting Semporna and fell for her beauty.
P.S. A guy mistaken us for PRC tourists and made his way into the cafe to apologize. Turns out, he's a diving instructor here and shared tonnes of diving tips and stories with us. He even offered to link us up with his friends if we intend to pursue the diving certificate at West Malaysia. Superb friendly and nice guy. Seems like quite a number of divers will chill at the cafe, you can pop in and have a nice chat with them.

Have my breakfast at the cafe. Waffle 🧇 so soggy because the choco & strawberry sauce so watery, the whip cream also so same. Mayo eggs sandwich came out as burger bread, and also the mayo I can’t find in the burger! Hot Milo ok because from machine. The service good but not the food!

Coffee is from machine but it is better than the general coffee in the area if you like western coffee.
Waffle banana with ice cream is passable.
The zapiakanka is also passable. It is okay to share among 4 people.
Owner speaks eng and chinese and its very friendly.
Seats are all facing outside window and in a row. Overall still a 4/5 place in the area.
By far the nicest (and cleanest) cafe in Semporna. From the cosy ambience, to friendly staff and delicious waffles this is by the far the best place to eat breakfast and lunch in the area. We ate at Borneo Rock every day that we were staying in the city because (unfortunately) there is nowhere else that caters healthy fresh food like it.

If I can only eat at one place in Semporna then it will be here.
The roasted chicken sandwiches was just too good. The owners are lovely and made me feel like at home.
Sadly I haven’t got chance to try the brekkie as my flight was in the early morning:) But surely I’d like to recommend this place to everyone and will definitely can back!
The Zappiekanka is a polish pizza (baguette with cheese toppings) - quite decent for tea time.
There’s also the waffle pancakes with ice cream. The ice cream is quite standard - not really the cafe kinda ice cream you’d expect.
The coffees are machine made.
The vibes are quite chill though, still a decent place to spend your afternoon.

They open at 6.30am daily which was great for us to have breakfast and good coffee ☕️ before we started our daily activities. Sandwiches are great. Croissants looked very good, though we didn't have any.
We had mango and banana milkshakes. They were tasty. Staff is very friendly. Highly recommended.
