It's a hit and miss. Super friendly waiter fortunately. Deducted a star for the R12 charge for 2 teaspoons jam. Deducted another star for the hard boiled poached egg. *Also please note that I did not deduct the waiters tip. We made a joke saying that he will earn R12 less but we always tip generously as you can ask any restaurant we dine in in Hartenbos. I shall reiterate... The waiter was excellent. 😁

22 April 23: Enjoyed the breakfast... good coffee... waiter needs a lot more training... Forgot about one person at our tables order and she only bought it out after we were done eating and we asked two waiters about the delay... and it was muesli??? Will probably try again in the future if reviews improve, since all new places have teething problems... Good luck

Had a wonderful breakfast the morning at Bootlegger Hartenbos.
I was very surprised with a great breakfast special with TWO eggs, bacon, toast, grilled tamato and a coffee for only R 75.
Bacon was a big portion and grilled to perfection. My two kids had special made meals no questions asked and they enjoy the play area a lot! Great for parents! Coffee for my still the best I had in sometime.
Should also add that the service improved tremendously and staff was friendly, helpful and waiting time for food was very short. Owner also came to greet and ensure that the Bootlegger experience was good.
Well done Bootlegger Hartenbos! Great breakfast and special will call again!

Truly an amazing dining experience, perfect for each person, be it vegan or vegetarian at that. We were greeted by our friendly waiter, and he made sure to tend to our every need. We were quite suprised by the portion sizes, as they were quite generous, and the quality of the food and the taste was amazing.The interior of the restaurant has an amazing vibe, with modern decor and calm, peaceful music that suits the ambience.Thank you very much to the waiter, Ashwin,and the whole team at this wonderful establishment.

We arrived on Friday and have already returned twice. The meals are exceptional and the service friendly without being overbearing. Rihad is our favourite waiter already. And the fact that I can bring my dog and she is spoilt too, makes this coffee shop a very good choice this holiday

Thanks for this new place. I never enjoyed the old shop's cheap coffee. This new place is amazing. Good coffee, friendly service. I can recommend the XL Cafe Latte; it's excellent.
