Don't know what it was,went in for breakfast.4 of us.took 45 minutes to get our food,food arrived before silverware! Hashbrowns and sausage was burnt to death! Used to love this place but will be eating somewhere else as it's really gone down hill!!! Used to be such great place to get breakfast! Lost a star because they didn't get my salad in the to-go bag. I didn't check either but I was picking up food for four. Live 25 mins away so didn't go back to get it. Visited this location on 1-31-24 for a late lunch. Waited 40 minutes to have someone take our drink order & then our food order. Ordered 2 chili cheese dogs that I split with my sister. The hotdog was really salty & both the bun and hotdog were burnt. Ordered a side of tots - extra charge. Side of pickle o’s - extra charge. Side of coleslaw - extra charge. The pickle o’s didn’t taste very good. The coleslaw was diced up very fine & was very tasty. This location needs to hire more than 2 waitresses to handle the customers who frequent this location. Overall the food was ok. Burnt food, very slow service. 30.00 for our meal & tip. Would not visit this location again. Options are very limited in this small town of McLoud. The diner was not crowded, there were two other tables with people besides us. The waitress didn’t seem to want to leave front counter area. We couldn’t get there attention to refill our drinks or ask for jelly for our toast. Waitress dropped our ticket kept on going we needed refills. The waitress never checked on us. Worst service. I am giving a 1 star review because I cannot give zero stars. I came in here during a teacher development day to buy a drink. I had no money so I used a gift card that I had available. I do not use gift cards very often. Today I decided to use this gift card to buy some lunch only to find out it has a zero balance on a $50 dollar gift card used once for a drink at Boomerangs in Mcloud. Went to check and I was charged the full $50 dollars for 1 small drink. DO NOT use cards there and if you do immediately check the balances after you do to make sure you are not being ripped off. It's to late for me to do anything except to never go to their business again and to warn others.
