I hadn't actually eaten at this restaurant but the app must have presumed so based on my walking habits. As I am presently in a good mood it gets a five star review

Open since 1934! I believe this is the oldest Western Style restaurant in Taipei! My mom used to take me here when I’m a kid! I’m taking my son here now!! What a place for three generations of my family💕💕 The foods just like the tastes I had before, very old fashion but delicious meals! Even musics played 50/60x songs.... A place you’ll see a different Taipei in 50x Usually you won’t go to a restaurant with all different ages people, here you’ll find all of them 😍👍🎉💕👍
An old school old school steakhouse with a long history of satisfying Taipei appetites. Many a second or third date was had here over the years. Pleasant service by older experienced servers one course at a time. Classic salad plate followed by soup and bread, then a seafood course and then your steak on a roasting hot platter with a side of Taiwan style mac'n'cheese. Dessert and really good coffee to round things out. The food is tasty if not sensational and the steak incredibly tender. Decent enough food served in a throw back decor while a 1960's soundtrack plays in the background. A memorable place for a meal in Taipei in my opinion.

Since 1934 to nowadays. Still keep its own style. It’s not easy. Delicious steak. Nice food.

A nostalgic place that my late father often brought me to. I remember the Duck rice dish that I always liked. Well all that has changed. I went there in the middle of tomb sweeping holiday. The first Bolero restaurant nearer to Yanping St., said that they're not serving the regular menu and suggested the $2490 per person course menu. All we wanted was the Duck rice which they did not want to serve. So we walked further to the second Bolero restaurant. On the outside they proudly displayed their regular menu clearly stating $380 for Duck rice. When we went to the table. They're waiter told us they only had a holiday menu. They had the duck rice but it was $580. They added a onion or corn soup though. We asked but they refused to serve just the Duck rice. We decided that we wanted to eat Duck rice so all four of us ordered the same. ..... It was not good. I took the onion soup. It was very bland. When the duck rice came it smelled of dried Bamboo shoot. The duck was not as good as before. In all the years I have had it, this was definitely the worst. They added 10% service charge to an already inflated price. This place has changed so much. The rude little man serving us said that he was the owner. His service was not upto par. We felt some what cheated after the meal. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $600–800 Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1 Recommended dishes Duck Rice
Charming old place with good food - the curry was excellent - and an interesting back story. Definitely check it out to complement a day in Dihua. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $800–1,000 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Chicken Curry
Always love to come here with family. Used to come here with great grandmother. Now I come with my kids. I love the chicken rice, and kids love it too. Just need to take out some bones, and it will be kids perfect dish.

A steak house that had been around for more than 60 years and still remain as it was 60 years ago both in atmosphere and in the style of food as well as the serving style.

Tasty lunch with reasonable lunch set menu pricing. Retro/60's décor. One of the first Western restaurants in Taiwan. Friendly service. Dinner menu includes steaks and grilled seafood. Dinners are tasty but a bit overpriced. Good location for business lunchs.
