The air buzzed with the contented murmur of diners and the rhythmic clinking of silverware against plates. At Bogart's, a haven for comfort food connoisseurs, I awaited my order with a pleasant hum of anticipation. It wasn't just any dish; it was their legendary fried pickles, a symphony of culinary genius whispered about in hushed tones. And then, they arrived. Nestled in a woven plate, golden tendrils of crispy batter swirled around, revealing the verdant emerald heart of the pickle beneath. But these weren't your average, everyday spears. Sliced with a whimsical disregard for geometry, they were circles, perfect and uniform, like miniature emerald suns. I speared one tentatively, the shatter of the crust a delightful prelude to the symphony of flavors that followed. The tangy pickle, tempered by the creamy richness of the house-made ranch, sent shivers of pure joy down my spine. Each bite was a revelation, a testament to the transformative power of good food. These weren't mere fried pickles; they were an experience, a celebration of taste and texture. They were sinful, yes, but in the most delightful way possible. As I savored the last bite, a single thought echoed in my mind: pure, unadulterated bliss. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Save your time and $$$...Expensive and mediocre at best. Found this place when on vacay in February and it looked cozy from the outside. We were seated and ordered...Then realized that it was very cold and that they had the back door open. I asked if they could close it and they said they were having exhaust issues and that if they did, the place would fill up with fumes/smoke?!? We would have left, but out of courtesy to the waitress, etc. we stayed. Not impressed with the overpriced steak. Food: 1 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 1

Comfortable seating with country charm and hospitality. The grilled shrimp were delicious, as well as the smothered chicken breast. We had baked sweet potatoes with butter, cinnamon, and sugar (practically dessert in itself). The tea was a little watered down but the sugar took over in the flavor department. This is a great place to eat a fabulous meal. I had the Lemon pepper Salmon and it was delicious. Cooked to perfection! Ted had a Pork Sirloin that was juicy and also cooked to perfection! Our server, Martha was very sweet, friendly and on top of our needs! She made our dining experience very enjoyable. Be sure to ask for her! If we needed anything...a refill or extra napkins, anything... she was there with a smile! We will recommend Bogart's to our friends and family for sure. Great service, food and atmosphere! We'll be back for sure! ☺️ Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes The Bogie Salad
Had a great experience at our last visit there. Our server(I forgot her name, I'm so sorry) was really great! Very up beat and a great attitude. We were there a few minutes after closing, and you would have never known it! All of our food was fresh, cooked the way we asked, and very tasty. We also got dessert, and they all were amazing! We were told this was one of the better restaurants in this vicinity of Waynesville, as there’s really not much to choose from. Going to the restroom prior to dinner didn’t help as it was old and needed some improvements. I brushed that off but started getting cues that maybe this was a place that had seen its heyday but over time just settled for sub-par food. Myself and another in our party of four ordered the fillet. This is typically a nice cut and I’ve never had a bad one till then. The cut was thin, however it was tender, but had strange taste to it. It resembled a baked piece of meat and underneath were two pieces of something that I suppose was bacon. I ate my salad and potato and could not eat the steak. The other person in our party got a fillet and had basically the same thing. These were $39 each! Premium price for very low quality. This reminds me of one of those places on the restaurant rescue shows. Good service from the waitress, and the folks were friendly. It definitely needs some help. First time here, and it was really good. Great food and service with a cool atmosphere. My only knock was the wait. I would recommend if you're looking for a good steak. Service Dine in Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

We have been wanting to come to Bogart’s for a while, but every time we passed, the parking lot would be full. This indicated to me that they have good food, so I really wanted to try it. We got lucky and went on a Wednesday evening, and we were able to get a space. We were seated immediately and our server was Christina, who was super sweet! I ordered the cheeseburger with pimento cheese and a loaded baked potato, and my boyfriend got the Manco Sneed sandwich with a side of potato salad. We also ordered the mac and cheese side to share. My cheeseburger was ordered medium, and I really liked it. The pimento cheese was really good on it. The loaded baked potato was everything I wanted it to be, and I was surprised to see that it didn’t cost extra for it to come loaded. The mac and cheese was surprisingly the worst part of the meal, it was interesting because it tasted like a frozen one, but the taste of it was not like any I’ve had. My boyfriend enjoyed his sandwich, but he did not enjoy the potato salad as much. I tasted both and agreed with his opinion. All in all, I think that we could come back and try more of their menu. Christina was a wonderful server and she made us feel at home, so I could not complain about the service. Took our family of six there tonight, after reading some recommendations online. Very sorry we did! The atmosphere was less than desirable but if the food was outstanding then it would all be good. However, the 12oz ribeye for me and my son was virtually tasteless, and my wife’s fillet had to be sent back as it was not even warm and extremely thin and overcooked (definitely not a $39 steak). She chose to not replace it with another item as she didn’t feel like getting another tasteless slab of meat, but ate her baked potato. Not sure how anyone could actually think this is a decent steak establishment. My daughters club sandwich was very good and the appetizers were good ( cheese fries and fried pickles). Do yourself a favor and do NOT order a steak here!! To the managers credit the fillet was comped off ( at least $31 of $39 meal as she ate the potato and salad) when we sent it back. Waitress was very attentive and tried very hard, no problem with service. I’m sure there are some items they do well ( apps and club sandwich, etc) but NOT steak. They need to work on their flavoring and presentation. Definitely disappointed as it was not worth $180 (with tip and wife’s fillet comped off). Went here and ate for dinner, staff was friendly the appetizers were amazing. We had mozzarella cheese sticks and fried green tomatoes 10/10 recommend. But the Ribeye was extremely chewy like could not eat. All 3 Ribeyes was this way and over cooked, the rice was just gross it was in straight water with no flavor. But the other sides Sweet Potatoe, Fries and Cheese fries was great. Recommend everything but the Ribeye and Rice Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $20–30
