Having seen Ray's Splash Planet, it's time to have a rest at this restaurant. It's a pleasant experience to order good sushi, fried cheese and tempura rolls. Delicious Sangria, Mojitos or beer will make your meal better and you'll surely come back. The intimate atmosphere of Bocao Sushi allows customers to relax after a hard working day. Unfortunately, if you look through the guests' comments, employees are professional at this place. It is known as a place with modern decor. Based on the visitors' feedback on Google, this spot deserved 4.2.

What a great venue with a unique and wonderful menu. Staff was super attentive and professional. The three of us had drinks and entrees before heading to a concert at the Underground. We almost went back after the show for a late night drink. Inside and outside dining. Atmosphere just outstanding! Lo recomiendo ampliamente. El lugar muy agradable, los empleados muy amables y atentos. La comida deliciosa y con una excelente presentación. Lo único que no me gusta es el tema del parqueadero, ya que si quieres parquear cerca del restaurante debes pagar muy caro a través de la aplicación, otra opción es dejar el carro en la vía si es que encuentras lugar. A fusion feast for the senses! Our visit to this incredible sushi restaurant with a Dominican twist blew our taste buds away. The food was beyond delicious, every bite was a burst of flavors that danced on our tongues. The fusion of traditional sushi with Dominican ingredients created a symphony of flavors that delighted us. The stunning decor with vibrant colors that truly set the stage for an unforgettable dining experience, and of course it has some perfect spots for you to snap some pictures for your Instagram. The staff is absolutely amazing! Their attention to detail and warm hospitality made us feel like VIPs. (One of the girls from the staff saw us struggling with the pics, and she came to us, help us with the pics, poses and was so nice and patient, Thanks Roxy, you’re the best) If you’re a foodie looking for a unique culinary adventure, this place is an absolute must-visit! 😋 What did we have? - Mofonguito Yuca: Smashed yuca bites topped with ropa vieja (shredded beef), chicken and shrimp. - Ropa Viejo & Cheese Empanadas: 3 beef stew empanadas served with spicy mayo on side. - Picadera: fried salami, sausage(longaniza), fried cheese, pork-belly, gyoza and tostones. - Taki Taki (Roll): Steak, bacon and cream cheese. used to be one of favorite places never had any complains. however the service has seriously declined. Starting with the door/host … not being able to sit on the inside although it was early in the night & having tables available. the food also came out cold :( maybe a bad night but super disappointed after bringing a friend here from out of town.

In town visiting from Houston and this was a pleasant surprise. Never had Dominican and Japanese fused together. A great tag team duo. I had the Big Papi Roll and the El Carnal Roll. This is one of my favorite places to go since I've moved to Charlotte. They treat me like family and I always get the best food and service. Any of the waitresses are wonderful but Mami (Tania) and Yeisha are the ones i keep coming back for. They are sweet and know the menu in and out . Bocao is a blended restaurant between Japanese and Dominican. It sounds weird but somehow they made it work well together. Where else can you get sushi, empanadas, hookah, cocktails, and Dominican music. The sushi offerings are vast and the cocktails/atmosphere is great for a night on the town.
