The food was okay, and the flavored iced tea was outstanding. The best part was the service. Our server was delightful, and the manager comped one of our meals (there were two of us) because of a couple of issues. We hadn't been to this Bob Evans location in a long time, as the food and service under the previous management was very bad. We were pleasantly surprised by the new management. I was surprisingly very pleased with the food that I got at Bob Evans. I think I’ve only been to Bob Evans one other time and I have no idea what I got that time. My husband had the double blueberry pancakes which he said were delicious. He just said he wish they had had an egg with it and he said the ham was not too salty and it was not overcooked like it seems to be at other restaurants. I had one of their new dishes, the Rancher BBQ Beef Dinner, which consists of baby red potatoes that are crispy and then covered with braised and barbecued beef with cheddar cheese, bacon and ranch dressing on top with two onion rings. And so many times the pictures you see the food comes out looking awful compared to the picture but my dinner looked just like the picture. The actual dish was delicious it was, not overdone it was very flavorful. It’s actually one of the best things that I’ve ordered from a restaurant in years besides the Black Bear Diner in Utah, which you can only find it in St. Louis around here. The only thing that I would say was unpleasant was at the first table we sat at the air was blowing and it was freezing and we asked if we could move tables and they said we could, and said that their heater had gone out so that’s why it was so cold, but once we moved, it really wasn’t too bad I just kept my coat on and the waitress was friendly enough. She did seem kind of tired, but we got our food in a timely manner and it was actually hot when I got it had been to another popular restaurant earlier in the week with a friend and my food was not even warm When I went there. I love onion rings and had ordered onion rings at that restaurant and they were cold and limp and not good but the ones at Bob Evans were perfect crispy hot and delicious just like they should be. So I Didn’t know exactly what to expect going to Bob Evans because there’s a lot of poor reviews on here, but it was actually an excellent experience, and we will be going back. And I was surprised at the price of the check when we got it very reasonable prices. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

The service was a tad slow, even with the restaurant not too busy. It took a bit for orders, drink refills, and the check. On a positive note, the banana bread was absolutely delicious and a definite must-try. The food overall is tasty for the price, making it a good choice for those on a budget. Bob Evans has always been one of my favorites. Today we had steak & eggs, wildfire salad, chicken and fries, BLT, and kids grilled cheese. Our server, Mikayla, was very attentive & courteous. The food was great, the dining area was clean, the prices were very reasonable and generous portions. We went before the dinner rush so the service was also prompt. Bonus: kids meal came with free dessert options! Meal type Dinner Price per person $10–20 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Homestyle Fried Chicken Tenders

The restaurant was fantastic. The hostess was absolutely wonderful, the food was absolutely delicious, and I will definitely eat here again in the future. The menu had a bit of everything for anybody honestly, breakfast food tends to be my favorite anyways. The coffee I had was absolutely delicious, my girlfriend enjoyed her rancher burger with french fries, and I had 3 eggs, home fries, and some extra bacon. I cannot complain. The food was as expected from this chain, breakfast anytime being my favorite thing. The servers were all amazing, great staff. After a couple days at Summer Camp Music Festival, this was some much needed sustenance to help revive the system. The food was good except the omelet was just folded egg with very little cheese or cooked veggies. The server didn't take away dirty dishes while you were sitting there or after tables around you left. Had to ask for coffee refills. I think they may have been short staffed. Service was ok . Like everywhere else they were understaffed. Food was pretty slow coming out as well . My home fries weren't very warm either. The Bob Evans blue ribbon bacon was an interesting combination. Maple syrup and lots of pepper . That was my favorite thing I ate Service Dine in Meal type Breakfast Price per person $10–20
Waitress Zoe was awesome! Food was less than par. Not sure if the cook was new or just didn't care. Our meals weren't served as they were said to be in the menu. Could have been a 5 star due to value and food taste, had the cook prepared what we ordered.
Me and my wife love Bob evens in Springfield so we decided to stop at the one in Champaign the waitress gave my wife the sweet tea which she is diabetic but will say it was an honost mistake so here's where it all goes bad my wife Cole slaw tasted spoiled carrots tasted like they been sitting for a long time the potatoes tasted like they were scraped from the bottom of the pan the corn yuck all was lukewarm now the main part of the me the chicken breast they were overcooked breading was burnt so the was some funky dab on top of the chicken waitress sad that butter so my theory is they burnt the chicken hoping the little dab of butter would soften it up so the whole time we were there nobody cleaned the tables or clean the dirty floors so took the chicken and asked for the manager who looked like he had been sleeping and asked him if he would eat that he almost said yes then I flipped it over which was even worse if I was a food inspector they'd be shut down my advice don't go there
