Beautiful atmosphere, our server John was awesome and made the experience. We came for our anniversary and were looking forward to filet dinners. Unfortunately, they did not have that available due to vendor issues, which we completely understand. We had the ribeye, which was ok, thin cut but cooked well. We asked for side of shrimp, was excellent and side of scallops, they were very bland and wished they had been seared. We received a complimentary dessert for our anniversary, which was very nice. We would go back next time we are in town.
Listen, this place has potential! That's the first thing I'd like you to read! I give this place a 3 out of 5 because the service itself was great! The atmosphere was nice! The issue is that the food that my party and I ate was seemingly all lukewarm and super salty. Secondly, my stake that I ordered was Lukewarm to the point that butter wouldn't melt. You would naturally think that you'd get a high quality meal for such a hefty price but like I said it was just okay...
We came for dinner on a Saturday evening after a day of snowboarding. The ambiance was great and our server was really fun and personable. Everything from the hot drinks - we ordered the Juniper Cider and the hot toddy - to the starters, entrees, and dessert was exceptional . Highly recommend on every possible level!

We had an excellent dinner here! We didn't make a reservation so no tables were available, but we were able to sit a the bar right away. The wild game meatloaf was great! The service here was outstanding as well. Every staff member was very attentive, and they all worked together well to make sure every guest was taken care of efficiently
Waited 20 minutes after being seated before a waitress talked to us (ironically the manager spoke to us right as we were seated but we didn't see him again). We were seated in the table across from the kitchen (very noisy). Ordered the pan fried walleye with mixed vegetables. The fillet was dried out and cold. The vegetables were cold as well. Added a star because the maple syrup old fashioned was very good. We were there on a Friday night and it was very busy. Saturday night we had dinner up the road at the Cascade Restaurant and Pub and it was excellent! I suspect the problems we encountered at Bluefin were related to being understaffed. Bluefin in a beautiful location with a lot of potential, and I truly hope they can figure it out.
Had a reservation for 6 of us for a birthday celebration which had been on the books for weeks as we were celebrating my husbands 60th birthday. This was the WORST meal and service we have ever experienced. Rude waiter, horrible food- cold and overcooked - no words for the very disappointing experience! Bluefin management, please get it together….. your guests deserve more.
Went there New Year's Day and had a great meal. The restaurant has a great view of the lake so get there before dark!
Always love this place.

I'll start off saying the service was fine. Everything else from there was mediocre at best. The best thing was the barbecue chicken mac and cheese which was on the kids menu. Went there with the family and I ordered the risotto which was extremely bland boring and a scallops lacked any sear, it was most likely frozen and microwaved or something because they were rubbery. The chicken sandwich was bland and boring as well even though the description was quite tantalizing. The buttered rum was fairly decent, the old fashioned and the blueberry gimlet came with what I would assume was ice from an ice maker and using tap water. Which is never going to produce the best drink. Overall a $37 risotto that had almost no flavor and frozen scallops I was not impressed whatsoever. It is Lutsen So I suppose I didn't expect culinary excellence but if you're going to put the stuff on the menu learn how to make it.
Picturesque location and a nicely designed and comfortable restaurant and bar. Salads were good, seafood bisque far too salty.
