Great place with nice atmosphere and fantastic staff. The bourbon selection is amazing. The only issue was that the food just didn't taste good. The three cheese dip was closer to soup. My wife's meal came with Cole mash potatoes and my fried chicken didn't taste like much. We will go there again to hit the bar but we will stay away from th food.

A friend and I had lunch at Bloom Southern Kitchen last fall. Everything was great. Our waiter encouraged us to come back for dinner some time. So I made a reservation last weekend for dinner to celebrate my birthday with my husband. We arrived and told the hostess we had a reservation for 6 (meaning 6:00 pm) and she thought we were part of a party of 6 and led us to a table for 6 people. We were confused and said we were a party of 2 with a 6:00 reservation. Then the hostess studied the seating chart to find a table for us. She needed help and asked a coworker to look at the seating chart. Finally the hostess led us to a table in the bar which was noisy. We asked for another table and were brought to a table in the dining room. We wondered why we weren't offered that table to begin with. Our waitress was friendly, but could have been more efficient. It wasn't until her fourth appearance at our table that she took our drink order - we had to ask for drinks - and then we had to wait for her to come back to order our food. Our meal was tasty; solid Southern fare. But the service was off-putting. I was expecting a better experience. Oh, and when I made the reservation online, there was a place to indicate that we were celebrating a special occasion and I checked "birthday." I'm not sure why they asked because it wasn't acknowledged.
