We stopped here for few cold drinks. Thai old man is realy lovely and we are glad we could support him a little bit.
He is 78 years old and he lives alone here.
The Thai man running the shop is very friendly, he has seats in the shade. He has cold coconuts and cold beer / soda. He sells coconut oils too for 100Baht, for cooking or using as aftersun cream. You can always spend your money at Tesco or yet another foreigner running a bar but it's better to spend it here instead.
I stopped by to have lunch at the waterfall and purchased a coconut from this lovely shop owner. Only 40 Baht and he will crack it open when you're finished with the water. I wish I had more cash on me to purchase one of the bags he was selling that were made from recycled cans. Please go buy one!
Stop by and buy something to support this self-sustaining guy! He is very sweet and he earns his dignity by doing his own small business, why not support him to make yourself and him happy?
The coconuts are surprisingly delicious, we think that they don't look very pretty, but the taste is amazingly good! We think they must be local coconuts!
We are lucky that we have a Thai friend with us, so we know the meaning of his song, he composed it himself and it tells his life story, so touched by it.
I also bought the coconut oil made by his sister, smells so natural! I bought the same size in other local shop before, the price is the same : 100B. Then why not buy from him instead?
