Black Dot is the best coffee shop ever. The quality and care put into their coffee and food is unparalleled in the Hudson Valley. Banana cake. CHECK. Lemon cake. CHECK. The best cappuccino? CHECK, CHECK. Yummy snacks? Forggetaboutit! They’re the best. They’re super friendly and it’s a great place for both locals and people traveling through- which is important up here! When I go back to the city I always miss it. :)

I truly dont know how this is rated a 4.7.
This is one of the worst cafes I’ve ever been to. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with rude staff, and a building that looked like an abandoned warehouse.
But the worst offender was the coffee and food. I paid 40 dollars for two coffees and two pieces of toast. The coffees tasted like diner quality, and the cups smelled like a dirty dish cloth.
The toast had next to no salmon and barely any avocado. For 15 dollars a sandwich, that is beyond absurd.
Stay away from this place. It is not the worth the time or money.

Do not believe the 4.7 rating on this place, those MUST fake reviews. The reason why this place is called black DOT is because all they gave you is a DOT of food for $40+. My boyfriend and I got 2 pieces of toast each. The salmon they give is 1 piece of salmon shredded into bits for literally $16. The coffee is watered down with no flavor served out of smelly cups for $5. For $40, I would expect to leave feeling full but instead I am still hungry. This place is highway robbery. STAY AWAY

Lucky to have BlackDot in the area. Best coffee shop around. They’ve done such a great job with the spot, as someone who has been living up here for almost a decade. I just wish they were open every day 🙂

I didn't expect to find a decent matcha latte in this area, so it was a nice surprise for me! I don't have a photo of it because I finished it too fast. Definitely worth a visit if you're around!
