First time @ Black Bear Diner & we were very pleased with our visit. The server, Julia, was exceptional & had a perfect balance of attentiveness. The food was delightfully prepared & was delivered to the table hot & fresh. We had the tri-tip dip & the chicken bacon ranch wrap. Both were well prepared & very tasty. The fries were seasoned perfectly & some of the better fries we've had in a diner. The atmosphere is cute, woodsy, kinda kitschy & fun, but don't let that detract from the spectacular comfort style food that is super delicious & well portioned. We will definitely be going back to try the breakfast (served all day) & some of the other delectable looking menu items. I went tonight to just get out of the house, have a good burger and do some writing. My burger was the best I’ve had in a long time. Possibly the best I’ve ever had. I have to give credit for that to my server, Lucas, who was very attentive and helpful. And was a tremendous help to me being indecisive on what I wanted to eat. He also was able to read the room. It was night, so he didn’t come in with a ton of energy, but a lot more lax and chill which was appropriate for the time. And I appreciated that. Great service and great food, no complaints. Black Bear has always been a favorite, but I felt like it had gone a little down this past year. I’m glad to see things back on track for them and to have such a kind team of servers, including the lady who checked me out. Happy to know I’ll be getting to visit one of my favorite restaurants in Fayetteville a lot more. Thank you guys for such a wonderful experience, keep up the great work! We went there for breakfast (my wife and I). I had the Shasta Scramble and a Waffle. My wife ordered a waffle and bacon. All was cooked to absolute perfection. I wanted the set of their hot sauce so I asked our waitress (Julia) who went out of her way to check on this for me. They were out and will order for me. Julia is one of the best servers I have ever had. Very attentive and she makes sure the customer's order is exactly right! She deserves a raise! This is my favorite restaurant!
