Went in for a late dinner in the weekday about 2 hours before they closed. There was hardly anyone there. We sat the bar to order food and drinks. The bartender was so unfriendly. I kept having to ask him for simple things like silverware. He would stand at the other end of the bar socializing with what appeared to be his friends. For over 5 minutes he’d stand there talking when we needed service. When he decided to finally get our food, it was not only incorrect but cold. It was cold because he was standing around doing NOTHING. Then he had the audacity to blame the chef for setting my order wrong. When in reality, he was spacing out the entire time we were there. He didn’t even offer to fix my order and we waited long enough for it so I just ended up eating what was given to me since I was so hungry. Lastly, I had a coupon for my meal. I asked the bartender if he could apply it to my bill and he said he had to have his manager do it. I waited over 10 minutes for the manager to come and apply my coupon but I ended up getting too annoyed to wait any longer. Now my coupon is expired. I also had terrible service at the BJs in Laurel Maryland the last time I ate at BJs. I’m beginning to see a pattern of incompetencies at this restaurant. I don’t know why BJs would hire people like this, but the fact that they still work there astonishes me. Does BJs not have supervisors??? Do the supervisors not have eyes??? Not much else to say, but that our experience was just ok…we were disappointed that ur server didn’t make much of an effort when it came to answering questions or getting simple requests like condiments. We asked about an appetizer and the mentioned asking to see if we could make a slight modification…we watched as they did a lap around the restaurant and didn’t speak to a soul, but were told that the modification wasn’t allowed. So, if you’re not going to order a couple of rounds of drinks and ave dietary restrictions maybe pass on this place. I placed an order in the app and went inside to pick it up. Every employee who walked past me asked if I had been helped. I'm so impressed with the service of the employees. I don't know the motto or what the mission statement may be, but whoever is training and hiring the staff kudos to you. I had no idea who management was but each person behaved as if they enjoyed their job and appreciated the customers. And of course the food is awesome. Second time coming in the last few days. Christmas Eve and one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had at a restaurant. A party of 7, a bill of almost $400. 2 cooks that couldn’t get our food right. Absolutely nobody at their food. Prime rib, pork chops, filet Mignon and jambalaya all under par. Waited almost an hour for food and manager comps appetizers. Literally changed the entire mood of everyone and nobody had a good time or good food. I should’ve known when we showed up and the hostess said she didn’t see our reservations that it was not going to be an enjoyable experience. First, we should’ve been told in the beginning only 2 cooks working. Next, if you gonna take a long time, the food should've been cooked and seasoned well. Manager walked by and didn't really say much other than we will rake care of it. The only good thing was our server who was awesome trying to handle it all. Don't open on Christmas Eve if you cant provide great service and food. so disappointed. Management really dropped the ball on that and ruined what should have been a fun and happy family time. Can't stress how HORRIBLE the takeout service at this restaurant is and always has been. I have been coming to this restaurant on and off since they opened and every time there is something wrong. Whether it's a messed up order or horrible service, sometimes both. I am guilty of the definition of insanity. I keep going back but no more. Tonight was the last time. I didn't receive the order till 30min after the pickup time and everything was cold. Managers hid from us. Employees looked at us but very few offered to help. And the order was wrong. This isn't the first time this has happened to me but it will be the last. Especially since the avocado egg rolls were completely brown, like they had been sitting out for days. BJ’s is BJ’s I’ve been to 3 different locations. They have plenty to choose from on there menu. I enjoy the food every time. The service be mid. They trying sometimes it’s busy. Give them that. Currently seated In the restaurant. I’ve been to a location before with speedy service and unfortunately this BJ’s in Bowie did not meet my expectations. I came and sat down an ordered my appetizer at 9:05pm and then ordered my entree at 9:32pm. My entree came out at 9:43pm and my appetizer was nowhere to be found but the runner walked my entree out and mentioned the pizza was on its way. I informed them I did not want the pizza any longer. She was upset that I changed my mind after not receiving my items in a reasonable time. The server failed to inform me of the wait that I would endure due to them not have all the items to execute the appetizer. She has all failed to check on me while I am eating my entree. My son and I went here for the first time. Now let me say first the waitress we had was great and the restaurant appearance was good. Now to the food my son ordered barbecue wings , mashed potatoes. I ordered steak , mashed potatoes, and green beans. The mashed potatoes were cold and the mozzarella sticks were cold. I was disappointed they used can mushrooms. The cookie with ice cream was good

Our server Tyree, was very attentive ,as well as friendly. The food came out excellent. Will definitely be returning. We got the Parmesan Crusted Chicken along with the Spaghetti and Meatballs. Aside from tasting excellent we didn't wait to long for food to come out. Excellent portions o even had food to go. Which is rare for me. Once again kudos to BJs and Tyree.
