I've been a regular at this place for 5 years, so about time I write a review. Amazing food and absolutely delightful, friendly staff. Also very good prices for the quality and quantity of food (especially the 3-course menu)! The ambiance is cozy, elegant but also relaxed. It's family friendly but at the same time perfect for a romantic date. Some of the best things about the food: Mostly locally sourced meat, amazing vegetarian and vegan dishes(although let them know ahead of time for vegan), and the menu changes seasonally so there's always something new and exciting to try out. This is my favourite restaurant in Umeå and I truly recommend anyone to try it!
I have also ordered catering for a bigger party from them and again great price for quality and quantity of food!

Came for a brunch, it was spectacular! A festival of tastes, wonderful atmosphere. Been wanting to come here for a long time, was worth it and sure gonna repeat the experience!

What a lovely place! I did not expect this level of food or ambiance at this location.
The food was perfect and the staff was great and very friendly and accommodating.

Living 20+ years in Ume and this was the first time to le Garage. What a shame, what have I missed during so many years. Easily one of the top 5 places in Umeå.

Very relaxed setting, wonderful food and nothing pretentious. Simple fresh salads on a table, silverware in a drawer. Best atmosphere dining in Sweden so far. It was like having a really good family lunch on holiday, with all your mellow friends eating at other tables

Visited 7 December, very disappointing Christmas table, with a small selection of food you expect great quality unfortunately not the case. Hot food was either not warm or things were not even there.
The food lacked flavor and the quality of the ingredients was just not up to par.
I've never been disappointed after a meal here. The staff is very knowledgeable and goes the extra mile to make the customer happy. The menu is unique and the food is prepared to the finest quality. The focus on locally produced ingredients is an added bonus.
Bistro Le Garage is easily among the top three restaurants in Umeå.
