Biru-Biru Cafe & Bar offers a cozy atmosphere with a somewhat limited menu. While the menu lacks variety, the taste of the dishes is satisfactory. The pricing falls into the medium range, making it decent for the quality offered. The environment is inviting, with both indoor and outdoor seating, creating a comfortable ambiance. The limited seating, however, might pose a challenge during peak hours.
The staff at Biru-Biru are commendable, being both nice and well-versed in the menu. Accessibility is a plus, as the establishment is wheelchair-friendly. Located next to Bandaran Kota Kinabalu, it provides convenience but parking can be a hassle due to the challenge in finding coupon spaces.
The mention of happy hour from 12pm to 9pm daily is a notable highlight, making it an attractive spot for those looking for affordable drinks. Additionally, the occasional live band performances add to the overall experience. Despite the minor drawbacks, the positive aspects outweigh them, making Biru-Biru Cafe & Bar a place worth revisiting.

Absolutely loved the atmosphere with the perfect combination of hipster and cosy. We got the best carrot/apple/orange juice, a cheeky Biru Biru latte with a sugarcane sweet (but not too sweet!) taste. For a warm day we really enjoyed an ice cold carlsberg draft beer

Dropped by the place in a hot Monday afternoon, it’s not busy. Quite some walk from the city, but it’s alright. Ordered their nasi lemak and request for extra chili (they are kind to give extra) as it’s not really spicy hot. Taste and smell of the rice is fragrant with coconut milk and fried chicken are tender and crispy. Current they have promotion on their cocktail during off peak hours, best deal any 2 for MayR35 and it’s actually not bad. Recommend to get their drinks.

Food is ok ok... not the most fantastic...
Nasi Lemak chilli was very savoury which is something unique. Rice was alright...but avoid if you prefer flavourful rice... Chicken was a simple piece of meat with some paste marination, the marination has not seeped into the chicken at all.
Burger is nice, but would not say its out of this world.
guess this place is more for drinks night...

Nice interior and exterior - they have an al fresco area but it’s only good on cloudy days otherwise it’s way too hot. Music was quite loud but they adjusted it for us when we requested. Unfortunately the ginger beef rice i ordered wasn’t so good - the meat was so tough I couldn’t eat it. Juices were nice though and the staff were friendly and courteous. My partner liked his burger and i loved the fries that came with it. Bathrooms is clean.
Pretty place, comfy environment, good live band and affordable cocktails. Fantastic place to chill out with friends. Only downside, food menu was limited and further to that, few were unavailable during my visit. If you are looking for snacks or bar food, smoked duck bao and the deep fried calamari were good.

I absolutely love Biru; it's become my go-to hangout spot at this point hehe I HIGHLY suggest their carbonara or pesta pasta but switch out the protein for smoked duck GAH SO GOOD (u will need to add on a few bucks for the switch btw) and if you're on a budget, their RM10 Fries are really really good too. Lest we forget their drinks, the Mojito here has one of the heaviest mint flavours I've tasted bc they muddle their mint and it's just the best Mojito I've personally tasted. Plus, their staff are so so friendly and nice :))
