Very friendly and kind of queer place where you just feel at home and the food is freshly made and healthy and different to what you usually get. For vegans the place is just perfect but also my non vegan friends were totally convince so we got there a second time. Yet they don’t have everything in the menu so it’s best to ask what they have and can recommend. Everything was just delicious. Super happy with the quality of the food! Buddha Bowl portion is huge and you can feel the healthiness coming from every item of the plate! Well balanced and tasty meal! Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4
Fantastic place with a great menu! The lasagne was our favourite, delicious and homemade - a lovely treat for a vegan who’s been travelling around Asia for 5 months! We were also very happy with the prices, very reasonable for such great food! Would highly recommend this place! Meal type Lunch Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Lasagna

Very good vegan food. Menu seems a bit large at first but everything was very tasty. Try the very refreshing lime-shake. It was prepared with no or very little sugar which we loved. Only small gripe: our main courses arrived at very different times so that i was done with my burger when my partners dish came out. We would definately come back and reccomend this place. Our visit to Beyond The Root in Khao Lak, Thailand on November 3rd was awesome. We had coordinated our visit with Maria, the owner, as we had a rather large group of 23 people. Maria and her team did a commendable job by offering us an extensive buffet at a very reasonable price, and their enthusiasm for vegan food was apparent from the get-go. As for the atmosphere, it was welcoming and cozy, making us feel right at home. The interior was tastefully decorated, creating a nice ambiance. While we didn't explore the regular à la carte menu, the buffet offered a selection of dishes from it, and they were so so good. Beyond The Root's team exhibited a clear passion for veganism. They had a good variety, and we were pleasantly surprised by the quality and taste. They even supply some of the local restaurants and hotels with vegan products like meats and cheeses! Beyond The Root's commitment to promoting veganism was evident in the diverse and well-prepared dishes. It's a place worth visiting if you're in Khao Lak, whether you're a dedicated vegan or just curious to explore this culinary path. Thank you to Maria and the team at Beyond The Root for an enjoyable dining experience! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

When we walked into this vegan restaurant, it felt like stepping into a special place. The owner and her staff were super friendly, making us feel right at home. Every dish we tried was amazing. The Buddha bowl was a game-changer – it was like nothing we've ever tasted before, and the vegan fried chicken was so good it was hard to believe it wasn't real chicken. The desserts were the best part – each one was so yummy, we couldn't get enough. This restaurant isn't just about eating; it's an adventure in flavors. Every bite was a surprise, with tastes and spices that made our taste buds dance. It's not just food, it's like a celebration on a plate. We left feeling happy and excited, already wanting to come back. Eating here is like discovering a secret – it's hard to believe vegan food can taste this good. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Although my wife & I are not vegans(though if we could have access to this menu we certainly would be!) we dined here with our vegan son. What a gem this restaurant is. The black bean burger and power burger with delicious side salads were amazing along with a superb vegan chocolate mousse. The owner, Maria, is a marvelous host and works hard at developing new recipes. Fantastic value and friendly service. Will definitely return on our next visit to Khao Lak. Thank you for a lovely, vegan dining experience. Service Dine in Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

Beyond the Root- featuring vegan and plant-based dishes. Thai and Western dishes available. Located on the main road, just north of RT Hotel and Soi Udom Sup Vegan Heaven- Excellent Thai dishes- so far I have had the: -Peanut curry with mushrooms (other protein choices were Tofu or TVP-Chicken) and riceberry rice. Medium spicy, no sugar 115 baht -Vegan Papaya Salad (Som Tum) with riceberry rice Medium spicy, no sugar 115 baht Food is carefully and deliciously prepared. Presentation is top notch. Restaurant has outside and inside seating. The staff is so friendly and helpful, 'brother and sister' from Myanmar. Very lovely souls. And the resident calico house cat, Lucky, is so cute! A very good sleeper. 👍 Very green environment (lots of live plants). 🌱🌿☘️🍃 This place is a Khao Lak gem 💎💙💎💙💎💙💎 Will definitely be back And will tell others! Great restaurant - I had the samosa (delicious!!), the lime shake (a dreamy refreshment) and the cottage pie (very tasty and hearty). They absolutely know how to cook well vegan. The menu has dishes from very different origins - everything we tasted was delicious. The staff were very friendly and accommodating and it was a cozy, relaxed atmosphere. Sustainability is also taken into account in other ways (reusable drinking straws, no packaged cutlery, etc.). Culinary really top (even people who don't normally eat vegan will find something tasty here!) Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person ฿200–300 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
