My partner and I came in without reservations and y'all made us feel very welcomed. I know I loved my food, I had the scallops and pork belly. I could get the tomato and okra and eat that alone and eat it for every meal of my life and die happy. That being said, though, my scallops were on point and I'm super picky about them (too many years working the saute line). They were perfectly crisp on the outside and still fork tender and slightly cool in the center. Absolutely. Perfect. The tuna tartar was amazing as well. Just the right contrast of cool and hot. Flavors absolutely Chef's kiss. I'm definitely coming back to try everything on the menu. Y'all might get sick of me. Sorry, but not really (please take my money) Seriously, thank y'all so much for the lovely evening! I really am looking forward to coming back and not being too weird about it. I indulged on the tuna crudo which was light and delicious. A dozen oysters that weren’t what I typically like as far as natural salt taste goes but still good. Finally I had a small plate of tender pork belly and fried octopus that felt freshly breaded. The restaurant is a tight fit but the view of the chefs at work is a fun touch Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

My recent dining experience at Bexley's was a symphony of flavors, where it left an indelible mark on my palate. The restaurant's ambiance was relaxed, creating the perfect backdrop for an evening of culinary exploration. The attentive staff added a touch of warmth, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere. The offerings were a testament to freshness and quality. From the perfectly pan fried tile fish (FOD), to the tender lamb shank, each dish showcased the chef's commitment to elevating the the flavors of each dish. The variety on menu provided a delightful range of tastes and textures. I love that they change the menu for each season. I wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant to fellow food enthusiasts, and I am looking forward to my next visit to savor more of their culinary creations. So impressed with this place. Arrived the Saturday evening after Thanksgiving w/o a reservation. We got lucky and were seated right away at the bar which was our preference to watch the magic as they finished off plates coming from the kitchen. We each had a nice glass of wine, the surfboard and the fried oysters, all were stellar. The service was exceptional. Don’t forget to try dessert! We had the chocolate pudding, so good! Can’t wait to come back and try more. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $30–50 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Chocolate Pudding

We came to Bexley tonight for our wedding anniversary! Someone made us a card, which was AMAZING and had a drawing on it! Our server was phenomenal, and so sweet. Nothing but positive things to say about the food (Bexley bread, 6 oysters, tuna tartare, ramen, and the surfboard). I didn’t take photos of everything because we dug in quickly, but I am posting the few I did take. I especially loved the trout dip as well as the shrimp Johnny cake with the guac on the surfboard! I told the server I wanted 6 oysters that were salty/briny, and got great ones! Nico from the raw bar brought us the surfboard and was wonderful explaining each of the items. All in all, it was a great experience and we will be returning! Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $50–100 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Smoked Fish Dip
Absolutely amazing experience. We had the octopus, mussels, ceviche, yellow fin tuna crudo, and key lime for dessert! The service from Taylor was above expectations and food was 5*+. We will be back! Thank you. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $50–100 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Charred Octopus

Bexley is an absolute dream located in downtown Summerville. We ventured to this lovely restaurant to try their sweet tea cocktail and ended up indulging in their menu as well. The sweet tea cocktail was actually a slushie essentially but in a grown and mature way. It gave me Arnold Palmer vibes in the best way! My husband and I then had an appetizer of tuna tartare with crispy fried rice. The seasoning and freshness of the fish was phenomenal and the crispness of the rice was heavenly and provided the perfect texture. Next we ordered the hanger steak with black garlic and fried potatoes. The cook on the steak was a flawless medium-rare eloquently seasoned and provided the perfect bite. Our last dish we tried was the SC fried quail. The crunch on the skin was awesome and the seasoning on it was evident. It was an absolute flavor bomb and paired nicely with the fresh melons. Our server was so welcoming and gave great recommendations for these dishes and we got to enjoy all of this under beautiful lighting and enjoying an evening breeze. We will surely be back to try the rest of the menu! Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $50–100 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Another fabulous meal at Bexley’s! We have been here several times and have ordered several different things and EVERYTHING has been delicious - food quality, seasoning and presentation all top notch. Tonight we had the sweet tea Frose, chowder, beef tataki, (too focused on eating after that to take more pics) shrimp roll, tuna tartar and key lime dessert. We love sitting at the raw bar to see all the action and dishes coming out. Superb! OMG - if I could give a place 20 stars, this place would get it! The service was amazing, the food was delicious and interesting and literally not a single bad bite. I don’t eat raw fish and we tried the tuna tartare and I’m converted! The waitstaff was so knowledgeable and recommended all their favorites. We did tasting/family style which allows you try try a little bit of everything. We got the Tuna Tartare, Roasted Oysters, Chilled Tomato Soup, & the Pork Belly & Squid. This place just can’t be beat! It’s a family locally owned & operated business which makes it even more worth it! The food are beautifully plated! Everything is caught locally and shipped in fresh. The prices can’t be beat, especially when you consider the atmosphere and experience of it all. It’s just truly beautiful and delicious and SO SO SO worth a stop in. We stayed until it almost closed just enjoying conversations with the owner & chefs & other patrons. Who I’m assuming was the sours chef (I am so sorry, I can’t remember his name) but he had us try a homemade plum jam and homemade pineapple vinegar which was SHOCKINGLY easily drinkable and SO SO tasty. You can tell everyone there treats their coworkers & patrons like one & like a big family. The chefs are all passionate about not only delivering DELICIOUS food, but experimenting and exploring food creations and that’s the beauty of food! I just can’t rave about this place enough. We will ABSOLUTELY be regulars once we move down. If you’re in the Summerville area, PLEASE stop by. Sit at the bar and watch them work, have conversations and just enjoy VERY much worth it food.
