I reached out by email on Tuesday and they had a beautiful custom box delivered by Saturday. I had an easy time communicating and with very little direction from me, they produced something so perfect. I will be using them for sweet gift deliveries in the future!
Bella Sophia did my wedding cake and it was divine! I also put in a special request for “brigadeiros” (Brazilian style truffles) not only they accepted, they made the absolute best brigadeiros me and my guests have ever tasted. So much that whenever we want to gift them we do the 1:30hr drive to pick it up over there. Their whole team is so attentive, helpful and kind. Couldn’t dream a better bakery!

This places isn't open. The inside was empty. Not like the pastry wasn't there, but completely empty
Perfect place for a coffee and treat. The desserts are scrumptious, decadent and generous. The coffee is delicious. The interior is like stepping into a fairy tale in the best way and the outside courtyard is a quiet and beautiful little oasis in the middle of haverstraw. And the owners are wonderful. When most cafes are out of non dairy milk, they say "sorry, we're out." Not here. The owner herself ran (and I mean literally RAN) to the store to buy almond milk for my latte! If I could give six stars, I would. This place is an absolute pleasure.
Highly disappointed. I ordered a cake for my daughter's First Communion. A couple days before my event I left a message asking if Eva (the owner) could make the cake to serve 15 people instead of 10 (forgive me if this is something so difficult to ask for). I never received a phone call back confirming the receipt of my request. I, being very busy with planning the occasion and caring for a sick infant all while recovering from a foot surgery did not follow up with her either. I figured maybe she didn't get the message and a 10 serving cake would be ok anyway. No big deal. Nonetheless I show up to the bakery at approximately 1 pm expecting the cake I first ordered for 10 people at the very least, to find the bakery closed! The sign in the window stated CLOSED although the shop hours are posted 11-9 ,on top of the fact that my cake was supposed to be ready at that time. By the way, the lights were on in the back kitchen area. I called the shop a number of times, left a message and banged on the door for 20 minutes. I even searched for the Facebook page and sent her a Facebook message. No response at all. I finally get a call suspiciously AFTER I LEFT at 1:33 pm from Eva who proceeded to tell me that she has been calling and calling me since the day I left the message with the cake change and even told me she called me this morning at 9:30. I had not once received a call from her other than the call at that moment. She even confirmed my cell phone number which she had just successfully reached me on. She then proceeds to tell me that she doesn't make cakes if there is no confirmation from the client. What??? I could tell by the sound of her voice that she was just blatantly lying to cover herself up. She had the audacity to basically tell me this was my fault. Completely unprofessional and amateurish. You know damn well you didn't call me and I have no idea why you didn't want to make my cake but you broke my 10 year old's heart on such a special and meaningful day. I ordered a cake with you and you never once told me when I ordered that you would need "confirmation " of my order prior to you making it. What bakery does that? None I have ever ordered from and I have ordered many many cakes successfully in the past at other shops. And if it was so unfathomable to simply add 5 servings to the cake then this job is too much for you to handle. Stick with baking cupcakes. ***5/14/17 My response to your response** You once again lie. I specifically remember going into your shop on May 4 Thursday when I ordered and asked you if you needed a deposit or payment in full ($60.00) You told me no. You told me to pay when I pick up! And what contract? You wrote my order on a scrap paper. Am I even responding to the same person I ordered from?? You don't seem to have that one fact accurate. As for the timeframe..it was a little more than a week and if that was an issue you could have declined. Right? Just to make a point I will go on....You told me to come in Thursday May 4 at 11am. When I showed up you were confused as to who I was and seemed annoyed because the business hours for that day started at 5pm not 11am like you told me on the phone. I had to remind you what I was there for and that you told me to come at 11. You told me you had the "new schedule" mixed up. The theme is that you are forgetful and I can only assume that you maybe forgot my order. It makes no sense for me to lie. I wanted a cake and don't you think that by me calling a couple days in advance to ask you to up the size a tad bit meant that I still wanted the cake?? You dropped the ball. I also am printing out my cell phone records which proves I have no calls from you. Could you provide the same? Or do you just expect people to take your word for it? Anyway, at the end of the day my recommendation counts. It's your business. Best of luck. **I did only find that ONE call she says she made the morning of but I was already in church for the communion at that time. She didn't leave a voice mails ever either, which could have avoided this mess.
i love this place, very nice people, the service is great. i go to the bakery every week the cold brew is to die for and the rumchata cupcakes are the best.
Great dessert, great prices, family-run, and it's named after their kids, Bella and Sophia. What's not to like?

Owners are amazing! The place reflects their hard work. I love coming here for all the good things.
Place is super clean, smells amazing. Great coffee, there’s a great selection of baked goods and cakes. The atmosphere is super friendly, comfortable, TV, free WiFi and most importantly it’s locally owned. I enjoyed the experienced. Recently ordered a birthday cake for father, was phenomenal. Therefore, if you or anyone you know is on the market for any kind of cake, I strongly recommend Bella Sophia Sugar Crafts.
Eva is a sweetheart! She's really excellent at her craft, and not to mention her cakes are DELICIOUS! Will definitely be back :-)
