I have visited this place years ago and I remember having a good experience and amazing interior . So this time I wanted to try Malaysian fusion food and decided to visit here again. It was Friday night and I was not expecting it to be so full. I entered our name in the waiting list, we were 8 people including 5 kids . The waiting list said 1 hour . We really wanted to dine hence planned to wait. The waiting time turned to be 1:30 minutes . I kept on asking about our turn but the lady started being rude , mind you we had 5 hungry kids. The people who came after us were seated . We saw that there were seats outside those were empty. But the lady was persistent that we need to wait more. Finally a manager came and assisted us and apologize us for the delay and mismanagement . The food was ok, not worth the wait. We ordered Char keow teo, tangerine chicken , Kung pao chicken and Roti canai. The char keow teo was not what I was expecting it to be . Will I be visiting again? I might not. I am a big supporter of halal eateries but was disappointed. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $10–20 Food: 3 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 4
Wow, the food at Belacan is so tasty!! It’s no wonder there were people waiting as soon as they opened. We arrived around 5pm on a Saturday and were seated within 20 minutes or so. We ordered: • Teh ais (iced milk tea) • Roti canai • Fish Fillet with house chili tamarind sauce • Kankung (morning glory stir fried veggies) • Beef rendang • Malaysian curry chicken We loved all the dishes and the service was excellent. Our water was constantly refilled and our table was checked on. I would definitely recommend this spot and come back! Front rank of atmosphere for party with friends. The food is amazing in quantity, but the real Malaysian flavor or not depends on what you order. For example, the curry chicken I ordered is 100 percent genuine as the Malaysian flavor standard. But, Shrimp sauce water spinach is a little bit spicy even I can eat spicy food very well. The sambal shrimp had a flavor of sour sweet. Nevertheless, the restaurant reserves a visit. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $50–100 Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5

This is it!! As a Malaysian, I can say that their food are considered very authentic. Top two Malaysian food I had tried in the USA (I like to look for Malaysian food when I go to a new city). I am really glad that this is only 1.5 hrs away from my home. Wat Tan hot, Laksa, mamak mee goreng and of course roti canai!! Wonderful atmosphere and service on top of that. We asked and learned that the chef is from Ipoh (food city in Malaysia), no wonder!! Highly recommend! We had to wait around 30 mins to be seated because we came on a busy time on a Sunday, the food was really tasty, we ordered the Roti, crab Rangoon, the kankong (I did garlic sauce though the popular one is the spicy shrimp paste), and the Belacan Fried rice, for all 4 dishes with no drinks was $50. All dishes were very tasty and the environment very cozy. Price per person $20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Been in the area after many years and went to try out lunch with few friends. We all liked the food, ambiance and the service we received. Roti canai and seafood curry was exceptional during our visit. One of the best restaurants serving Malaysian cuisine! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

We wanted to try Zov's Bistro and found this restaurant next to it and packed of people. I smelled all the delicious food and was surprised that yelp never recommended this restaurant in Tustin. We ended up changing our mind to give it a try since I have never tried Malaysia cuisine and love trying something new. We ordered calamari, crab rangoon, and a cup of hot and sour soup as appetizers. It was the best fried calamari we ever had, super flavorful and crispy good quality calamari. It was not over breaded or double fried like a lot of fried calamari from other restaurants. Also the best fresh hot and sour soup I have ever had, the peppers the egg and the vinegar just exactly the right portion. The rangoons were basic with fake crab, but a good portion at a great price. For entrees, we ordered Beef Rendang and the seafood clay pot curry with coconut rice & chiken rice. You can choose normal steam rice, brown rice, coconut rice and chicken rice. OMG, the coconut rice is like a dessert, smell delicious and it is such a great taste. Seafood clay pot is sooooooo good with fish, scallop, tofu, bunch of veggies and eggplant all in a spicy and savory broth. The beef rendang is soft, flavorful, and great quality. The curry spices used perfectly complimented the meat without overpowering it. It you want to try extremely good Malaysia food!! Definitely give this place a try. I love Malaysian food and have been wanting to come here for awhile. During our visit only half the restaurant was open to guests. They had a nice flow of people coming and going. We were fortunate to not have to wait. Service was great and so was the food. We ordered the… Nasi Lemak - better here than most places I’ve tried. Their spicy sambal is really the star. Elevates the dish. We asked for extra on the side and added it to everything. Char Kway Teow- big portion, nicely flavored, and noodles were cooked perfectly chewy. Curry Laksa - also big portion. Noodles were a little soft for my preference and the broth was slightly bland. Looked jammed packed with flavor but was on the milder side. Roti - delicious! Half Hainan Chicken - moist and soft three sauces. We were full off everything else so we took this home. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $10–20
