Absolutely awesome Dead bar. The bar itself is made of tons of ticket stubs and the live music on the weekends is awesome. Great people, and the owner Beau is super welcoming. It was our first time and they made us feel like locals - a must go for jam band lovers.

Music acts hosted are great and unique for the area, bar service leaves a bit to be desired but the performing acts make up for that.

Jamband head just moving back to Long Island after many years away… this place feels like home. Everyone is super friendly and the music is top notch. Bring earplugs would be my only recommendation!

I’m never the type to leave bad reviews but I’m seeing that a lot of people feel the same way as I do about this god-awful place. Went to see my friend’s band at an open-mic lineup. The band was booked by the bar itself. Within seconds, I witnessed the bartender “Kevin” accost multiple people for not having wristbands to signify that they had paid the cover charge. He then forced my friends and I to buy a drink immediately, claiming there was a minimum, which nobody had been told about beforehand. One of the band members brought her mother, who was very confused and frightened by “Kevin’s” hostility. She does not drink and yet he forced her to pay 5 dollars for a ginger ale. He charged my friend and I 10 dollars for extremely watered down drinks which we didn’t even want in the first place. He also charged THE BAND the cover fee! Combined with the oppressive heat inside the bar, I can confidently say that in all my years of frequenting many dive bars on the island, this one is the absolute WORST. Don’t EVER visit this pathetic excuse for a bar.

Awesome decor and the event i was part of highlights local artists which was cool! That's where my positive experience ends unfortunately. I was part of one of the performing acts and each band member had to pay for the cover and a drink. This is very atypical for any bar or venue, but was made even worse when Kevin was very pushy. He made eventgoers and participants uncomfortable, and refused to explain the drink minimum to confused guests. Not sure if thats how it always goes or if thats just how kevin rolls but it definitely turned me away as well as my 6 bandmates, and all our guests. Before even performing, we were thinking of just bailing. All for a gig we did for free! Huge thank you to Max (who booked the bands for this event) for reimbursing all 7 of us so it didnt result in a $70+ loss. I hope he was paid for the night. Also, i ordered a water (per the drink minimum) and I never even got it. The space was WAY too hot and under-ventilated for that. Thank you to the audience member who bought me one!
Cool local spot, mellow vibe for lax'ing out amongst the noise and settle up to some good music and easy going folks. When there is good music, and the vibe isn't consumed by a hot-headed bartender who visibility hates everything about being there. Constructive advice? Fix the way you handle yourselves on band nights — if you're that p.o.'d by it don't host it. You've earned every defamatory review behind mine in regards to that. Joined some bandmates at a local artist showcase a few months ago. Bartender seemed befuddled and quite frankly, hostile towards everyone coming in the door — demanding $10 dollars to continue to "step foot in the bar" (to play our own gig nonetheless) and lectured (shouted at) us about how to behave in his bar. Look, I get it, but I (we) don't need to be scolded like children in front of fellow patrons and made an example of when we did nothing other than walk through the door as participants of a public open mic which we were asked to play by your booking team. In addition, you're shouting at your bottom line for the night, ourselves and our guests included — all paying customers who intend to stick around and participate. Band nights are overwhelming and taxing on the staff and the management, it's a burden any way you look at it. But that's not my problem, and on honest terms — we did nothing to offend that other than show up and order a beer + ask if we can help and where to hide our stuff out of the way. If that was too much, then you're in the wrong line of service. Overall, the experience cooled off — but if you're going to host an open mic night, prepare your team for how to conduct themselves. "Don't tell me this town ain't got no heart, you just gotta poke around." Take your own medicine here guys.

If you're a deadhead this is the place for you. It's a time warp back to the '70s. They have a mixture of a mature crowd & younger generation. The bar is narrow & the place gets packed when a band's playing. Plenty of parking in the back slow down so you don't miss the driveway. I had a good time check it out!
