If you're looking for a local business that cares about both its customers and quality - the Chocolate Haus is it. Great place to go for gifts or something for yourself. They won me over when I first stopped into the Bridgton store - and I'll continue to be a faithful (dark chocolate) customer for the foreseeable future! Great stuff.
Everything was amazing and even though we came in late she was very kind but the strawberries were very expensive, had way too much chocolate on them, and one was rotten. For over $2 a piece I’d expect better
If you are a chocolate lover then this is the best place to stop in and treat yourself to something special. There's an amazing variety and the staff is extremely kind and helpful. When you walk in the smell alone will put a smile on your face. I personally love the dark chocolate! And you can spice it up with nuts, fruit, or even a little liquor😊
This chocolate is AMAZING! They have a huge selection of chocolates to choose from.
(Fudge, truffles, dipped fruits such as oranges, pineapple, and cherries..etc)
Prices are higher than I initially anticipated but I think it's reasonable considering the high quality & skill used to make their candies.
If you're handicap you can go around to their back door & ring the bell. They are happy to let you in that way.
First time in, and was pleasantly surprised. They have some of my favorites and some that i didn't know were my favorites. Totally surprised by the sugar-free chocolate covered raisins i bought for my brother. They were absolutely amazing, i have never had such good sugar-free candy ever. I bought dark chocolate covered oreos, and dark chocolate cranberry, macadamia nut clusters, chocolate champagne filled candies...well worth the price, and you can mix and match the candies, they are all the same price per pound. Not all of the candy is included in this deal. Im planning on going back for some special candies for easter.
Okay, my family is partial to the Bavarian Chocolate Haus because we first visited their facility in North Conway and built up this romantic attachment for their fine, in house made, chocolates. Whenever I go to Bridgton, I always have to bring back a treat for my ladies. Whenever WE go to Bridgton, several times a year, we have to stop in. It is a part of vacation ritual to buy a treat of dark chocolate in one form or another. I love their dark chocolate drops. Rich and creamy with a hint of coconut about them, probably oil. But they have more than chocolate. There are a variety of flavors in the shop from beer to maple products.
The dark chocolate sea salt caramels are a favorite indulgence (and try the maple walnut clusters!). Lovely staff, handmade chocolate, truffles, and an amazing cukcoo clock. Just off Main Street, there is parking, but is also an easy stroll from the town lot and walking allows you to enjoy the other nearby shops!
