Maybe the best bacon cheeseburger I've ever had. Reminded me of one of the old bars I used to hang out in when I lived in Philadelphia. Attentive bartender/server and nice customers. I have been a regular patron of The Barnsboro for over 30 years--as a child coming with my family, as a teen who worked as a bus girl, and now an adult who brings my own family there. The quality of food and service has really gone downhill--especially the entrees. I knew the Aliberti family very well and they must be so unsettled with how the quality has decreased, but the prices have steadily risen (I don't mind price increases as long as the integrity of the quality of the food remains). Recently, my son and I went for his 27th BD. We both got the Filet. Both were overcooked and lacked flavor. Mine was very tiny and had literally two small pieces of mushrooms on top. We had a similar experience with the crab cakes not long ago. The last several times we have been in, they have also lacked servers. Each time, and each time someone different since there is a big turnover (I wonder why?), one person is hosting, serving and busing. They can't possibly keep up with the level of service The Barnsboro has always been known for. Great staff, great food, great drinks. Love the history of the Inn and the stories from the locals at the bar. I am need to update my review. Everything for the most part has been a great experience. Staff and food are still great. But post covid19 the prices are higher. New ownership hopefully will be able to get things under control.
