It made me miss Borders; B&N is just an overpriced joke now.
Love this place!!!

The prices have inflated to the point it doesn't make sense to shop here if you're an avid reader. Many of the books I wanted I could find half price online. Then comes the cafe. Their pricing for the two drinks I ordered said a grande was about $5.25 but when the barista rang me up it said $6.20 I didn't say anything because it'd be embarrassing to make a stink about $2 but I didn't tip because it felt like a rip off to have the pricing on the menu say one thing and charge another. I didnt do any add-ons for my drinks either. Also my cold brew tasted stale, like the old pre-made brews at Walmart. The whole experience made me never want to come back.

Love the new store. Great seating all around the store. The kids area kept my granddaughter entertained. I don't live in the area but I'll be here every time I'm here visiting family.
The layout is a bit confusing. It's like a maze and it constricts the flow of walking. Also letters are falling off of the signs.
Really cool
Love B&N and love that we have one here in Visalia. ❤️ Yes, the prices are high compared to online booksellers, but that's not really the point. It's just so nice to peruse a well laid out store with an excellent selection. Try to ignore the comments about long lines... it just opened and people are excited. Get a grip. Lots of well stocked genres, including YA and Manga, which my kids appreciate. There is a coffee shop serving Starbucks (not an actual Starbucks) and a gorgeous selection of gift items. If you're a reader or plan to shop more than a couple of times a year, I recommend the premium membership. It gives a 10% discount on most items, and you earn points that you can use for future purchases. Oh, and did I mention the comfy chairs? Very nice when you've trekked the whole store and your feet hurt. 😉
Very poorly managed, there was a really long line at one point and only one cashier and one other employee doing who knows what at one of the registers not attending to customers despite seeing the long line. Not as stocked as other B&N stores, more displaying books than selling them really. Good vinyl record collection though so I appreciated that. Cashier had an attitude too and looked like she’d rather be anywhere else. Overall disappointing experience for a store I had high hopes for and was excited to shop at.

Visalia has not had a bookstore in over a decade. Maybe the collective iq will go up...
