We've gone there a couple of times, each time was fun. A wide variety of people having a good time. Not to mention, they had green beer on St Patrick's Day! Definitely a place to try out!
Barley's is my favorite bar! It's basically the "Cheers" of Oshkosh for my group of friends - "where everyone knows your name". Nate, the owner, is one of the most personable guys you will ever meet and he always makes a point to say hello! Thursday nights are the best nights to go, especially when it's meat bingo night! They also do a lot of fundraising for the local humane society, which I really appreciate. Nate and his establishment are a great asset to downtown Oshkosh! I definitely recommend this bar!
Overall Barley and Hops isn’t a disappointing place to go for drinks but is not too exciting or notable either.
If you are from out of state I would not recommend this place, they did not take my license and the bartender bent it to the point of nearly breaking it. After which he did not initially want to return it to me.
Otherwise this bar has pretty good entertainment and drink deals.
Great bar on main st. Jess rules and the dude that appeared to be the owner is cool. Ping pong, music, outdoor seating and bags. Easily top 10 in oshkosh. Inventive drink specials...i like. Yes please i want more barley and hops.
Barley & Hops is a good bar for most occasions . It hosts various leagues, has bar games, a decent happy hour, and good night Life. The happy hour is a raffle with pull cards to determine the drink price and spin the wheel for a prize. The beer selection is good with the occasional one-off beer for someone who wants to try different things.
Top it off with joining the Mug Club.
A great atmosphere outside and in. Owner is fun and supportive of our local animal shelter. You can build your own personalized Bloody Mary too..great prices and craft beer selections.
