Pleased with our experience! Did a Thanksgiving meal here with the family. Service was great. Took two rambunctious kids, who actually did wonderfully and were well accepted by the business. Lots of options, great holiday menu. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $50–100 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4
I ordered Greek salad . It was a big disappointment.. I did pay $17 for that . See the photo you will see what I’m talking about. Food: 1
The food was top notch and the atmosphere is elegant. However, our server left a lot to be desired. Extremely unattentive throughout the evening and left us waiting nearly 15 minutes to just pay the check! Also, while a bit out of the control of the resturant, some tables were extremely loud which made the dining experience overall unpleasant. It would make a lot more sense to seat smaller parties seperate in a seperate area from larger parties; I could barely hear myself talk. Barka is a gem in northern NJ. We went for the first time today and will certainly be back. The atmosphere is comfortable and modern. The food was incredible! The octopus appetizer could be a meal on its own. It was tender and flavorful. The portions were generous too. The grilled lobster is a must try. The lamb shank was rich and comforting. Don't forget the baklava for dessert! Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $30–50 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Very nice place, exceptional service. Food was very good, but there were a couple of exceptions. The asparagus risotto was very salty. The Scallops, while good, were a little sandy. The creme brulee was lemony, which, unless you advertise it as lemon, is not correct. Otherwise, everything was very good. I can recommend Barka. Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4
The space is beautiful and you can't hear the highway at all. The food is good, but not really Mediterranean as billed. Our pita was burnt in the Mediterranean spread appetizer, though the dips were tasty. Scallops were well cooked and the risotto was perfect. The chicken giambotta, while very flavorful, had a distinct Asian flair. (Good, just not what we were expecting). The drinks are very expensive ($16 for a Margarita that was too sweet). The service could only be described as overly attentive. The waiter was helpful, but engaged in far too much untoward, flirtatious conversation that left me feeling uncomfortable.
