The Baraka place is worth visiting in the evening because of the night atmosphere. I would say the restaurant offers one of the best service in Nungwi and very generous portions of fresh sea food, but the taste is just average. I liked the atmosphere, I did not like the performances of local sportsmen because one sees it multiple times a day while being in Nungwi.
Good wifi, rather low prices.

The fish from the grill was very good and the appetizer could be an own main dish. Sitting on the beach and watching the sunset... nothing to top the atmosphere. Service was also nice and easy.

Ata a few times at Baraka as there were so many things to try from the menu. Fruit juices were spot on, service was excellent every night, seafood was tasty and well done. Completed our stay in Nungwi, definitely recommend this place. We enjoyed it more than once.

We were walking along deciding where to have dinner and saw Baraka absolutely full. We walked to check their menu and the seafood looked so fresh we couldn’t resist, we were so happy we had dinner there. One of the best lobster we have tried in Nungwi by far, we also ordered the greek salad which was super fresh. Very friendly service, the atmosphere was really nice, locals perform shows in front of the restaurant on the beach. Great overall experience!

Rock Lobster
The scenery is beautiful and there are plenty of beach performers who live up the atmosphere. Unfortunately for us the seafood BBQ was tough and there was no seasoning. It didn't feel like value for money.

Had dinner here twice while we stayed in a nearby lodge. Definitely recommend. Come after sunset when they have the tables out by the beach.
We had grilled jumbo prawns, tempura seafood(not really tempura but fried in batter), and grilled lobster and cigal(can’t really tell the difference).
It’s grilled and fried seafood, can’t really go wrong. The accompanying curry dip was nice, wish we had more.
There are cats and dogs walking around, they’re not out for your food but if you’re icky with animals it’s good info.
Wait times are par for Africa.

One of the best in island!
Fresh food and reasonable prices. We have eaten at Baraka twice for a lunch and a dinner. For both cases, we have left the place with full satisfaction.
We had the chance to try many food in there, all were exceptional. Highly recommended!
Tips: probably the best price/efficient lobster is served in here in the island. Dont miss!

- nice restaurant on the beach with your feet in the sand
- Large variety of seafood options, grilled, curry, pilau etc
- Huge portions (1 main dish would have been enough for 2 of us)
- Long waiting time (1 hours after order
- Staff nice and friendly

This place was awesome!! The food is fresh and well seasoned. The served were friendly and smiling. The place was clean. The owners stealthily asked is we enjoyed the food and were so happy at our review that they told us who they were. Very nice couple. You will enjoy the food and atmosphere. I was in the country for 20 days and I would say this was my best meal.
