Found this place on Tiktok and went for happy hour. The food was not great and the happy hour dumplings lacked flavor. It's a nice place but more fluff than substance. The saving grace are the drinks. The drinks were good and crafty plus half price on happy hour which is great Worth a visit for happy hour drinks Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $30–50 Food: 3 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

I’ve never had Asian cuisine for brunch before and now I have to eat here all the time! This place was so delicious, aside from our drinks, and the staff was very lovely. We had the best pork bao buns, I’ve ever had in my life here. Along with the breakfast scramble and the canto egg meal. The matcha crème brûlée stole the show! Everything was seasoned to perfection and we wished we’d ordered another portion to go. Our server was very kind and upbeat. The only thing that wasn’t great was our drinks. The elderflower French 75 was too tart and lemony and the mimosa didn’t have the right mix of ingredients. Other than that 5 stars!! My boyfriend and I made reservations for restaurant week. Our table was ready before we arrived. Although it was right next to the bathroom, I think it was the best they could do under the busy circumstances. It was pretty loud, but the food was pretty great! The only thing neither of us liked were the (garlic?) noodles. It was literally just butter and noodles. The rest though, was truly delicious. The drinks we had were strong, too. Our waiter was attentive and ensured that we got something else to replace what we did not like. We were not even going to complain, but he really went the extra mile to make sure we were satisfied. Went there for happy hour after so many recommendations of the place. Overall the vibe is really cute though quite crowded during happy hour. Dumplings were ok and the drinks were also pretty mediocre. Not sure if that was my fault in ordering but we got the Valensole and Panache drinks. The Valensole just mostly tasted of lavender and had a strong soapy/cough syrup quality to it. I am usually a big fan of floral flavors but it was a bit disappointing and I didn’t end up finishing the drink. Panache was alright but pretty bland drink as well. The dumplings for the price are a good deal but not great tasting. Our service on the other hand was great and very attentive. The place is a fun spot overall but there may be better happy hour spots in DC. Price per person $10–20 Food: 2 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

Sigh. I wish I could give better rating but here goes. I did like the industrial look of the restaurant. Our seats were very comfortable. The wait staff was fabulous and very responsive to refills on water and our hot tea. Food itself was good-ish, but alas, my friend had a hair in the dumplings she ordered. She chose to not make a big deal out of it and carefully inspected and ate the rest. It was a chilly day and the tea we ordered was good enough but sadly nothing worth noting. In addition to what we ordered we had hoped there was soup in the offing as well. They didn't have soup. Also, we both wanted a cup of coffee and were told the machine was broken. Sadly, just not a place I'll return to. I really do appreciate the great service but underwhelmed with the food experience. Very cute happy hour spot! It’s bustling inside and out and I found the service to be attentive. The food overall was good, not great, but we felt the happy hour deal was definitely worth it. Dumplings are tasty! Food: 3 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5

As a chef, I respect the menu and food quality. They have a strong understanding of flavor pairing and food presentations. The service is excellent and professional. The atmosphere is eccentric and modern. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $30–50 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes 1970's Garlic Noodles
It was packed a minute after it opened. But the vibe was great, and the bartenders were even greater. Happy hour was a steal. We tried ever kind of potstickers they had and probably one of every drink. You can't go wrong stopping in here at anytime. Make sure if you want to sit that you make a reservation at least 2 weeks in advance. The standing area isn't the worst, though Service Dine in Meal type Other Price per person $30–50 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

We came here with a party of 4 on a Saturday around 5:30pm. Make sure to make a reservation- the place was busy! We loved the decor inside. The tables are well spaced so you don’t feel elbow to elbow with the table over. They have happy hour from 5-7 with half off drinks and $1 dumplings so the party started with some of those. The drinks were all great! Very creative and delicious. The dumplings were great too - juicy and well steamed. We also got the pork jelly bao which was amazing but maybe a little expensive at $5 a pop. The chicken kaarage is quite spicy! Just a warning for people not great with spice. Thankfully our table was okay with it. Also got the crab Rangoon which was good but nothing out of the ordinary. One of us got the garlic noodles with tofu which were okay - the tofu wasn’t seasoned at all and the noodles were quite dry. Overall, great experience for happy hour. Would recommend for good Asian food! Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $30–50 Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Pork Belly Buns

Cool atmosphere and lively vibe, especially great for happy hour. The zi-char chili garlic fish and 70s garlic noodles were good and had that fun fusion flair. The mocktail was surprisingly good and a great price. I'd skip the veggie dumplings, which were bland.
