Brian makes the BEST cupcakes I have ever had in my life! My biggest frustration with the average cupcake is they often are beautiful and visually compelling, but they just taste like sugar on top of sugar with more sugar.
Brian’s cupcakes are often an interwoven and nuanced layer of complimentary flavors that fit just right. You taste flavor first! The cake portion is always moist yet doesn’t fall apart or crumble… and the frostings may be the best things I’ve ever eaten.
If I had to recommend just one… well I can’t! However, recently I had the pleasure of a “coffee and donuts” themed cupcake that was divine. As for family friendly, his carrot cake is the single best carrot cake of my life!
You can’t beat quality and pricing or flavor options! Jarrell is blessed to have his talents!
I found Baked by Brian by a referral on Facebook and what a gem it is. He makes cupcakes, pies, and cakes fresh from scratch. I ordered a blue berry pie for a co-worker because he use to pick blueberries for his grandma and she would make a pie for him. He said it was amazing the crust and the filling wasn’t to watery or too thick. He was very pleased and felt like he was eating his grandmother pie again. Since than I have picked up cupcakes on O M G. He uses fresh ingredients and makes them by order only. I recommend his treats to anyone and believe me it is worth every cent
Think of a flavor, desert, cookie, whatever you love and Brian will turn it into a cupcake....but not just any cupcake....the best cupcake you have ever had! I have always loved cupcakes....I may need to move now. He's too close to me!
I have NEVER had cake this delicious!! I had the Almond Joy Cake, and it was fabulous! It was so moist, with amazing filling, and the creamiest icing ever! Brian is a beast in the kitchen!!
My neighbor bought some of his cupcakes the other day and they were extremely dry. Like they had been sitting out for a few days. I had better cupcakes at HEB. I went to find a Facebook page for him to give a review there and noticed he doesn't really update anything on his Facebook page that he is selling but only sells or post in his private group page, and this is what my neighbor and his wife stated to me as well. Which made me then question why a person would do that as everyone I knows wants to promote their business to get more business. It then sent me down a rabbit hole as this is just the way that I am, I am way too curious. My good friend lives in Round Rock and his wife is a home baker as well (yeah, I know I should have ordered from her, but I didn't want to drive all that far but lesson definitely learned!!) and I went into his private page with them to see what all he was selling as maybe she would know why he is wanting to keep everything private, and she could immediately see why. After further research, she saw he was selling items that were not I guess approved by what she calls Texas Cottage Kitchen Laws. To me that is very questionable business practices. People, be careful what and who you are buying from. If you are wondering what is allowed to be sold from home, you can look up Texas Cottage Kitchen Laws. I had no idea until she showed me the website. So many things being sold that I wasn't aware were not allowed. She explained to me why and it made so much sense to me. To me if someone is being private with their selling, question that. Just be cautious what you are buying and from who. You really never know what you are getting and how really safe it is when it is from home.
NOT a cottage certified baker! Don't trust him!
Oh yeah, shady practices on FB, too. They won't let him post directly because he ISN'T LEGALLY CERTIFIED TO SELL FOOD.
