FAKE.
I got a bacon, egg, & cheese on a sesame seed bagel (pictured). My husband got a bacon, egg, & cheese on a croissant. He saw a few strawberry scones in the front case and bought one of them also.
You can see the girls making the sandwiches behind the counter. The girls making the sandwiches microwave the fake circle of egg and microwave the bacon. Everything around them was dirty. The bread to content ratio is not satisfying. If it were real egg, it would have been fluffier and tastier.
Each sandwich comes with a small coffee. Coffee was good, but the creamer had a hair on it and was gunked up with old crusty cream around the edges.
When they gave us our order, they didn’t have the scone. I went back to the counter and asked for the scone. She said “oh, we just sold our last few.” UM HELLO I ordered one before the last ones were sold. So instead we received the option of a brownie or refund.
Overall, we chose not to eat in because it was dirty. The way they operate with making the sandwiches was gross. I literally could’ve gotten this fake sandwich from Dunkin’. I thought I was going into a real establishment.
We will not be going back ever again.

We were driving through Montrose and needed a light lunch so we popped into Backstreet Bagel Co.
The bagels were fresh and the quality was excellent. The bagel with lox is a must have, if you’re a lox lover like me.
They also had truly excellent espresso. It was much better than most and comparable to what you’d find in a good European café. What a pleasant surprise that was!
The little private patio in the back was a perfect place to nosh in the shade. If I lived anywhere near Montrose, I’d be a regular.
not worth the money!
Not a fan of reheated food. I stopped in here because the reviews appeared good and who doesn’t love a good breakfast sandwich?!
I ordered a bacon egg and cheese on a sesame bagel. I saw them grab a cold egg patty and cold bacon and put it in an industrial microwave. Anyone who ever eats reheated egg knows it’s just not the same. The egg patty was thin and the bacon was dry as can be. Probably the worse egg sandwich I have had in a very long time. Maybe they should make it fresh to defeat this problem. Definitely not worth the money.
I ordered my meal to-go and asked if they could put salt, pepper and ketchup on my sandwich. The female at the register then proceeded to hand me an extremely dirty and unsanitary ketchup bottle from behind the counter and told me to bring it back when I’m done. I guess they wanted me to unwrap my to-go order and then re-wrap it instead of putting it on after they microwaved it.
The coffee station was filthy as well and this experience just turned me off to this place. Also, I always find it weird when an older male hires only all young females to work. Seems a bit odd.
