Delicious Yum Cha brunch - each dish was just delicious and well-portioned so you definitely get value for your money. The mains were particularly delicious, especially the lobster udon noodles, the broccoli and the mapo tofu. The dessert platter was amazing to finish it all off. Service was impeccable, our server Janka was very friendly, attentive and able to accommodate dietary requirements (including changes to the menu). The decor is lovely, especially in the outdoor area. Highly recommend going for the Yum Cha brunch, hope to be back soon! The restaurant makes a very good impression. We had dim sum, beef and shrimps, and then sweet and sour chicken and shrimps with seafood rice. We have enjoyed every single bit. Amazing food! To be quite honest, I wasn’t sure whether a Chinese restaurant in sleepy Muscat would hold a candle to other Chinese restaurants in China or busier cities, but I was pleasantly surprised. We had just the dumplings, having been really full from dinner, but even as simple as it sounds, they’re exquisite. Finally made it to Ba Ban. Let me tell first that the service was faultless. We forgot to order our Peking Duck 24 hours in advance but they still accommodated us. The food was excellent as expected. The wagyu beef must be tried, it is a different experience. The Peking Duck was superb. And they even accommodated our request to make the udon noodles with vegetables including pumpkin and black mushrooms. We finished with profiteroles with frankincense ice cream and mango jasmine sorbet, Both were excellent.Definitely worth a stop. A truly one of a kind Chinese food experience in Oman. The menu, although small, has a beautiful variety. The Supreme dim sum platter is a good option. The lobster noodles are amazing and very filling. Desert options were plenty in addition to the fortune cookie of course. A must try experience. Prices are on the higher side. The Ambience is beautiful and the service is exceptional. The Presentation was also great. Going back again to try the rest of the menu for sure. Apart from the acoustics in the main dinning area everything else is 5 star including service, food presentation and quality, and decor. Prices are on the higher side for sure but so far it is one of a kind restaurant in Oman. If you wish to have the Duck it is better to preorder ahead of time to ensure that it is available . Don’t order allot of desert as they offer a complimentary mini- desert along with the fortune cookie at the end of the meal . You must try the crystal prawn and black truffle dim sum and lobster szechuan dan dan (noodles) - so flavorful. The stir fried lobster scallop rice and sesame prawn toast were also amazing.
