Chicken tenders seem to get smaller and smaller every time we go, I don't know for sure but it looks like they are cutting the full size tenders they used to serve in half, but they did not cut the price in half. Foods was good just not much of it, anyone else noticing this, come on Austin's you are better than this. Some coworkers and I went here for lunch. The food was great, the service was exceptional, and the prices were very competitive. Very clean place with a really nice atmosphere. My first time here, and definitely won't be my last. I should have known not to order takeout from this place. I went in, and everyone except the wait staff were slurring their words and stinking of booze. The food was garbage. I ordered a burger with lettuce, tomato, onion, pickle, ketchup, mustard and mayo. I got cold bun, cold burger, cold cheese. They must just want the drunk crowd. Never going back. We love going to Austin's for the food and friendly atmosphere. The tvs are a bit loud, but it's a bar! The burgers are very flavorful. The chicken strip were cooked perfectly. Give the house chips a try, they are very good. The people are on top of their service. We are about an hour away, but when we are close, this is where we like to stop! Food is a hit or miss. Customer service is pretty good but prices can get ridiculous. I bought a 6 piece tender “meal” for my toddler to have leftovers. I found out they didnt have a chicken tender meal when I received the check. The equivalency of a 6 piece tender meal was $21. To boot, the tenders and fries were tossed because they didn’t taste right and the lemonade wasn’t any good that day either. I am thinking it was bad grease because the inside of the tenders were okay but the breading and even fries weren’t any good. Not sure if the lemonade had something to do with town water being bad that day. It all looked great and simply tasted bad.
