It was the first time I tried this kind of food. My husband and I were there last Saturday and we really enjoyed it. Very good service and the food is fresh and delicious! The owner Manuel was very friendly and the waitress Lasiva explained the entire menu to me and gave me very good recommendations. Highly recommended. Really nice ambience. The food tasted fresh and the service was a 10/10. I would definitely recommend the Athenian salad and the rice for the sides and the chicken lemonato, moussaka and/or lamburger as your main. The skillet was also delicious. Thank you to the owner for checking on our table to see if we liked everything! We really enjoyed our meal and would most definitely come back next time I visit Dallas. My boyfriend and I ordered the Gyro Lunch and it was FANTASTIC! The fries were perfectly seasoned. This was my first time having a Gyro with lamb/beef and let me tell you they did not disappoint. I placed a to-go order and the food was phenomenal. I am so excited that I found my new place! I ordered the lunch portion of gyros with a salad and rice, the combo appetizer platter, and the a avgolemano soup. The food was warm, filling, delicious, and authentic. The waitress was very professional and helpful, and the owner stopped by to say hi and chit chat with me. Great experience Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

I have got Baklava from here before and it was great. When I drove by this time and they were open, I thought, yes, I have to go in. The host was super nice, I ordered a piece of Baklava(only one because the price has gone up to over $6 for one triangle) and took it to go. I wanted a bite before I was on my way back to Plano. I opened the box and noticed it was watery. I thought maybe it's just hot from her warming it up. I wish that was the case but it was not. I literally had to force myself to eat it, because I didn't want to throw away $6 plus tip. From a place a couldn't wait to get more Baklava from, went to a place I probably won't go back to. I used to come here all the time I loved this place until recently. I literally waited for almost 5 for my drink I would not have minded the weight but everyone else besides me was getting their drinks. Because the waiter did forget my drink and had to ask me again. Then I order my appetizer and my food because I had plenty of time to sit and wait people who came in after me got their appetizer and their main course. The waiter was supposed to tell me why it’s taking them so long for making my food. But apparently everyone else is more important I decided to walk out, I was decent enough to leave them $10. Second time at Atheneos. Second great meal for us. Village salad was very good and generously portioned; it came with warm delicious pita. My colleague had lamb chops and loved them. My husband and I were out of town and looking for dinner in Mesquite. When we saw the sign for Atheneos, we decided to try it since we love Greek food! We had our honeymoon in Greece so it holds a special place in our hearts. Not only was all of the food delicious, it was truly authentic! We had the dolmades, flambéed cheese for apps along with some Greek wine. My husband got the pastitsio and I had the lamb souvlaki. Everything was fresh and delicious!! On top of that, the staff was very friendly and attentive. We even met the owner and had a great conversation. He seemed to genuinely care that we enjoyed everything. Everything was very bland. The spicy feta dip just tasted like feta mixed with tomatoes, zero spice at all. The salad had tasteless grated feta and again, the dressing had zero flavor. It almost seemed like it was just oil on it. The chicken souvlaki was a good portion, but again, lacking in flavor. The rice and pita was warm and tasted good. Food/Beverage: 10/10 Their food was great, and some of the best if not the best Gyro here in Mesquite. The Gyro had great flavor and cooked just right. I enjoyed every dish. The Athenian Salad was also a must. Can’t wait to return and extremely highly recommend it. Service/Atmosphere: 10/10 Plenty of space and was very enjoyable.
