A fantastic coffee shop and even better pottery one! This place makes art easy with a great cup of coffee. You simply pick your coffee, pick a clay pice and have fun. They put your clay piece you picked into the kiln for you. Then come back at a later time and pick it up. Tones of selection. They have lots of Halloween pieces. The inside of the shop is beautiful, with very high ceilings and archways dividing both little shops. With this beautiful layout, it makes for a fantastic time.
Made a random discovery while exploring Lancaster. This place is adorable. Can't wait to come back and make some art! (You paint it and they glaze and fire it for you.) Lots of cute examples and art for sale too. Great coffee and yummy cookies! And sweet staff.
A very beautiful shop that has such a nice and fun atmosphere to hang out! A perfect place to take your friends/family and do some painting. Will definitely be planning some more visits. The coffee is also a plus and worth getting while you’re there!
Such an awesome space. Fantastic coffee at a great price. Service was fast & friendly. Definitely worth a second trip even if you quick detour off 33 traveling between Columbus & Athens.
We love to go downtown and paint. Story time is very cute and affordable for little kids. It’s a lovely little place- the coffee has not been so great the last two times and lukewarm but still a great place. Little pricey if taking multiple people but they have a lot of pieces to choose from so it can be affordable.
If I could rate this a zero, I would. My 9-year old daughter and I stopped in today to get information about the store for a potential future visit. I’ve never experienced such openly rude service, especially from a small business. While looking around, another customer approached me and started angrily telling me about her experience with the staff. I took it with a grain of salt, but then experienced the exact same treatment from the person working at the front stand. I won’t ever give my business here. The establishment needs a major rethinking of their system, process and attitude in interacting with customers.
We stopped twice this week and loved it! The coffee was delicious! The second time we also painted and everything was very user friendly and easily explained but staff was happy to help or answer questions if needed! As an autistic adult with an autistic daughter, I Love that it's also helping support a great mission.
My 6 year old and I were turned away at 510pm because they won't take anyone else, even though their hours say open til 6. If I look up a business and the hours say til a certain time, I should be able to arrive an hour or so before closing and not be treated like a last-minute patron. We drove 45 minutes each way, perhaps longer with traffic, and missed the "cutoff" time by 10 minutes...which apparently, renders my money and time, as well as my son's excitement, worthless to them.
-Edited to add, the owner's response is insufficient in addressing my concerns. An 'experience-based' business will prioritize the 'experience' of being treated like our time is valuable and utilize the art of human reasoning to make exceptions when necessary. I have extensive (over 15 years) customer service management in both retail and medical, and can attest that a 10min delay in arrival would not have impacted the OTHER patrons' "experience", but being treated like it was amusing to have missed out and then to have the owner respond with dismissive anecdotes about where their time limits are posted just demonstrates that their priority is themselves and not the customer. I shared this experience and it turns out, I am NOT the only one who won't return because of how we were turned away for an arrival time we did not have control over. Posting something online, on the website, in your store, about time limitations is pointless if the consumer in question hasn't seen it, or had time to investigate the value of their dollar in an establishment. If I wanted a 'big box', corporate experience with limitations and rules I would have not spent my time to try and patronize a local shop. Completely pointless when the owner is quick to defend themselves and excuse their horrible, condescending behavior.
This place was alot of fun! We arrived late on a Saturday and didn't finish our pieces so we came back a second time on Sunday to do so. Dozens of fun pieces to choose from and a good selection of glazes. Tools and techniques available to create your own one of a kind piece. I'm really looking forward to seeing the finished pieces soon. The buckeye frappe at the cafe was fantastic too, very decadent way to finish our visit.
