Food was absolutely delicious - Burrata Salad was creamy and well-balanced. The Ragu Pappardelle pasta was also extremely tasty, however we expected beef ragu similar to Italy - not pulled beef. Decor and atmosphere were classy and elevated. Service was very attentive, however, starters arrived within 4 mins of order and the mains not shortly after - which resulted in us feeling rushed which was not great. We were done eating within 50 mins of arriving. Whilst it may be convenient for some - it wasn’t for us. Would return again with friends - hopefully it won’t be as rushed and we can enjoy the experience more. Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5
Great vibe and tasty food. Drinks- several bottles we tried to order were out of stock, but we settled on a beautiful red. Food- we got several anti pasta offerings, calamari, sausage pasta, and Bolognese pasta. Food was so fresh, flavorful, and good portion sizes. Service- everyone we interacted with was friendly, professional, and helpful. Special shout-out to Washington who was training and Ivan for taking such good care of us. Vibe- classy, casual and simple decor Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4
Service and ambience was phenomenal. Food was fantastic, I just can’t justify paying those prices on mains without a side dish that’s still considered reasonable. R65 for 2/3 of a sweet potato with some butter, in my opinion, is a bit steep. My husband had the fillet, which was great, and the description suggests “dressed with greens”, which is somewhat deceiving. He had a couple of pieces of rocket to nibble on. The tomato tartare sourdough is a must. I could have had two portions. And the dessert was a substantial portion and great. I’ll say though, the pasta looked incredible. I didn’t see an option for gluten free but it feels like a bit of an insult walking into an authentic Italian restaurant and asking for a gluten free pizza or pasta. The cocktails were amazing too. Don’t know if i’ll be back, it was a great experience but I feel like i’ve ticked the box. Unless they run a decent special 🤣 Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person R 500+ Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Calamari

Great service, very nice staff. The food is amazing. And we shared a Tiramisu, which you should definitely try. Some seats have a nice view at the lions head. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person R 200–250 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Tiramisu from heaven!!!! ❤️ Mushroom tagliatelle was scrumptious!! Our waiter was wonderful. Service impeccable. Definitely a Cape Town go-to! Edit: Visited a second time. Prawn linguine was yummy. Tiramisu wasn't as fresh as the previous time, cheese had gone off. Demolished it nevertheless. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
The setting of this restaurant is beautiful and an entirely different vibe than other restaurants. We had a trainee serving us, and he still has a lot to learn. We ordered their signature dishes, pasta, and once the meals are served, they offer complimentary parmesan and grate it for you at the table. Love this dimly lit vibey establishment. Although quite modern in its esthetic, it's also really comfortable & relaxed. The food was delicious, don't miss the truffle fries with aoli, also loved the Italian greens and their mushroom tagliatelle... 👌🏻Service was friendly, the only thing I would change is the second seating which either means you have to be done with dinner by 8 or sit down for dinner later, bit I suppose that is par for the course in many establishments now. Our dining experience was a tapestry of refined service and exquisite flavors. The waitress struck the perfect balance, never intrusive but always present when needed. The hostess welcomed us with a warmth that felt like an old friend's embrace. The ragu pappardelle was a delightful revelation, each bite filled with flavor, made even more special as a staff member graciously grated Parmesan cheese tableside. The baked meatballs were exceptional and the cocktails, inventive and flavorful, were like liquid poetry. Highly recommended and I will definitely be coming back. Went there for the first time on the weekend. The atmosphere was good and so was the staff.Ordered the sausage pasta that they recommended had some meat but I really didn’t see or taste any of it. It’s lovely place to visit though. Service Dine in Meal type Brunch Price per person R 250–300 Food: 3 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5
I have never given a rating as high as this, but Ariel Modern Italian was outstanding. From the food to the atmosphere to the service all were magnificent. We did share a few starters, which included the wood fired flat bread, the aubergine and the tomato tartare on sourdough. Unfortunately I did not get any pictures of these. I did manage to snap a pic of my main, which was the mushroom tagliatelle with parmesean and black truffle. It was seasoned to exquisitely and had the perfect amount of parmesean. Definitely one of the best pasta dishes of my life. We did also share a dessert which was a single huge portion split between me and most of my other dining companions. Overall a memorable night and a fantastic meal. Well done to Ariel Modern Italian I can't wait to be back. Meal type Dinner Price per person R 400–450 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
