Beautiful and elegant restaurant, with a good bar, good acoustics, pleasant music and atmosphere. Very good service, although our waitress did not wear a name tag or mention her name. The menu is a bit limited, not many options. We did not feel like having meat or seafood, so the only entree we could have was cavapati with mushrooms, and it was greasy. The portions were relatively small and the prices were relatively high. So overall not amazing but pleasant, nice experience. Stopped by today at 12:00 to check it out for a potential Mother’s Day brunch in May. The host took my reservation and I decided to sit at the bar and explore the menu. I Ordered a lavender French 75 cocktail with gin, lemon, Prosecco, and lavender simple syrup. Perfect blend of sweet and tart. Well poured. The Sweetest bartender attended to me quickly even though I’m a 60+ year old female. I ordered the lemon blueberry crepes with honey and sea salt almond brittle. O. M. G. An excellent place to enjoy an exquisite dinner and a pleasant atmosphere. The staff with the best disposition, always with a smile to us, highly recommended. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $30–50 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Creme Brulee

I'm sure it has plenty of good reviews for good food and a pretty atmosphere, but the price was not worth the quantity. The food tasted fine, didn't blow my mind, and $30 for the portion equivalent of a small appetizer isn't a win in my book. You can get excellent quality food in Boston for a lower price and also be satisfied at the end of your meal. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $30–50 Food: 3 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Service was extremely friendly. Restaurant layout was that of a traditional and slightly upscale brasserie. Food quality is the only reason of the low review. We ordered the most sad and pathetic cheese board for $22. Image below. No meat, no olives. Slimy cheese, rotten grapes, and sriacha sauce on a cheese board? Like what? Anyway, ordered the poivre which was absolutely delicious, but was listed as $MP. It was $56 for a hamburger, the price should have been listed considering the only other expensive entree was around $36. I should have confirmed, but sneaky on their end nonetheless. The green onions were undercooked and I Al’s it choked multiple times. Dad ordered Lapin, a few bites, extremely under seasoned and dry, basically was a bowl of bad pasta for $30. Mom ordered a mashed potato and veggie dish with so much butter it was sickening to finish. Overall low quality and extremely overpriced. Go to La Voile in Boston instead. Fantastic meal and service today at Aquitaine in Chesnut Hill. The escargot was amazing to say the least. The Duck L’Orange was beyond exceptional as well. Everything was super and I can happily recommend this restaurant! Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $30–50 Recommended dishes French Onion Soup Gratinée
While the food quality and atmosphere are good, the staffs’ unprofessional behavior takes away from the experience. The host stood there in a casual brown hoodie looking at his phone, the waitress while super friendly forgot all about our meal. We sat there for close to 1.5 hours before we got our food and it was cold. And all the while, the staff came up to us with plates meant for other tables and asked us questions about the food others orders. The staffs’ unprofessionalism took away from both the food and the atmosphere. My husband called it “controlled chaos” but he was too kind. I’d just call it “chaos”. It’s too bad really that the place has deteriorated over the years. Food: 3 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 2

I’ve been going to the one on Tremont St for years and was excited when they opened this one. It has more seating and even though we came for Sunday brunch, it wasn’t packed which was nice. Service was prompt and courteous and food was delicious! Ordered the special for the day, which was the frittata, even though I usually get the smoked salmon benedict, which I also highly recommend. Doesn’t disappoint and will go back for more!
Aquitaine is a great place for any casual dinner. Fresh food and good service. The burrata was great, the peas mixed in, not so much. Steak Frites was delicious. Service was a little slow, possibly related to covid, not sure but wasn’t as great as normally it is. Overall would recommend.
Great brunch place in Chestnut hill, decor makes you feel pampered and fancy. Other meals are also available. Apple crisp crepe’s are so good, definitely a highlight for which one wants to come back. Interesting cocktail options Service Dine in Meal type Brunch Price per person $20–30
