I hesitated to share this, but it really made me not want to go back. The waitress did great and the food was fresh and hot. My problem was the really loud hard rock music playing. I went in with a small headache and left with a big one. I understand that everyone has their own music preferences. As I looked around, it was older people on a Sunday coming from church or a few couples. It was just not my thing I guess. There were some ladies that finally asked for the music to be turned down. That’s probably what I should have done. Maybe look at who the bulk of your customers are plan accordingly? Our server was outstanding. Food was decent, but we were exceptionally disappointed with the cook swearing at servers and being an overall jerk to the servers. Honestly, the management needs to get this under control. We would have walked out had we not been so impressed by our server. We should not have to sit down to enjoy a family meal only to be subjected to offensive language. We won’t be returning to this location unless we hear from management that this problem has been addressed.

Great service from our waiter. We had a large group walk in and the two ladies we had were very diligent with helping us get seated. However, the food was atrocious. Burnt and dry, not worth the price. That being said, I have also noticed in the past servers and cooks taking their anger out on specific servers of the night, using them as a scapegoats. We waited 45 minutes last night while waitress said they were calling in more cooks. Never received food after waiting, so we left, never to return. What a mess they have. 4-5 people working the kitchen, fully staffed servers, hardly busy, waited an hour for sandwiches, 2/3 of our dishes had hair in them. Wait staff was passing out plastic to go forks due to no clean silverware. Although management let us go without paying, this place needs a health inspection and new management. I worked here back in the early 2000's. This establishment was the number one in kansas for Applebee's stores. Not sure about it anymore. Short staffed during lunch, the quality in food has died off. It's too bad because I have family history with this location. I would hate to not return someday. Food quality was mediocre, chips were stale and the shirt staff service makes it less to enjoy. Dude… the kid with the weird hat that sat us is one odd duck, our waitress with the face tattoos seemed like she had no idea where she was. The food was all over cooked and dry, I had to go to the bar and get us straws because it’s tough for kids to drink from a cup with a lid without them. Just a very bizarre meal. My family and I came to dine today. Initially we felt good about how our dining experience would go. My wife and I, and our two toddler children, were eager to have a good meal. Our waitress brought us our drinks and asked if we were ready to order appetizers or needed a few more minutes. We said we'd need a few more minutes. Apparently the waitress thought a few minutes meant 20 minutes. There was no excuse to be had that the restaurant was busy, as there were only 2 other tables of people dining in. My wife decided to ask another server where our server was. She seemed puzzled by us asking where our server was so we could order. 5 minutes later she showed up reeking of cigarette smoke. It was pretty obvious she decided to take a smoke break without taking our order. She came over, with zero apology for waiting. We ordered, and she said she would be right back to refill our drinks. We waited 10 minutes without getting refills. We got up and walked out. We informed our server if she could cancel our order and all she said was "sure". No apology. This was a horrible experience, and we will not be coming back again. Meal type Dinner Service: 1
