The venue was right on the water and had a upscale look and relaxed vibe. The service was outstanding. The bread service was delicious- with a softened butter and local bread. The scallop starter had an amazing pea base and was a fresh taste. The charcuterie board was good. I got the aged beef, which I enjoyed. The gnocchi sauce was creamy and nice. Everything was beautifully plated. Highly recommended. Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Sourdough and butter - Good. Langoustine (NOK 225) - The meat from the 4 halves were easy off their shells. Good aroma and taste, and the herb butter went well with it. Whitefish roe from Femunden (NOK 449) - Good. Refreshing. The blinis and the cold Røros sour cream (tasted like crème fraîche) went well with the roe. 5 course menu (NOK 850) Raw shrimps - Fresh and refreshing with the smoked cream (tasted like crème fraîche), dill oil, and lumpfish roe. Skrei (seasonal cod) cheek - Fresh and firm. Good flavour. White fish (turbot) - Fresh, firm, and gelatinous. The broccolini and savoury and slightly sweet shellfish sauce went well with it. Flatiron steak - Reasonably tender but not much marbling. Popcorn ice cream with blackcurrant - Good.

Amazing food here. The kitchen should be proud of there work. Very fresh, local plates that are packed with flavour. Good wine selection to match. The food is definitely on a Michelin level. The service, although friendly wasn't in sync with the kitchen. Would also recommend a wine pairing with the tasting menu.

The fillet was medium level, well-cooked. We loved the celery pure. Rather than dill oil, i do believe leek oil would fit better to give a wild garlic taste. The starter as a potato with a butter sauce was really amazing. The combination of butter and sourdough bread was also really good. Tuna piece was something in between. Wow! What a 5 star experience. After finding the local recommended fish restaurant was full, we opted for apothetera gate number 5. This restaurant blew us away. We started with three appetizers, the cabbage (smoked and cooked with dictate sauce), the hake fish which was broiled, and lamb (tender and delicious) . This really was the highlight of the meal for us. Every dish was just cooked to perfection and presented in a delicate sauce which enhance the flavor. For the main, we had the local "klippfish" which is a salted dried fish that is rehydrated by soaking for a couple of days. It's an interesting flavor, and we glad we tried it, but it wasn't the best thing on the menu. If you go, taste, but don't make it your entree. Dessert was also spectacular. Blue cheese ice cream with crumbles, which sounds weird but was so delicious! Also had local strawberries with whipped cream, another delicacy. I can't neglect to mention the homemade sourdough bread. It was so delicious that we ordered another serving. Fresh, warm, melt in your mouth sourdough. Yummy. Service was attentive, informed, friendly but not overbearing. They really had the elegant restaurant experience down. Highly recommend. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner

beautiful little restaurant/cafe. I popped in for a focaccia and a coffee, and the whole place is just stunning. We sat out the back on the water (pictured), but inside was warm and cosy with a fire burning. Service was wonderful and coffee well priced (for Norway) I assume the restaurant would be great as well. Would definitely recommend popping in for a fuel up you're visiting the town.

We were a party of 12 and enjoyed the food, attentive service, and great wine. We had a first course with fresh cod, sirloin steak as main and popcorn ice cream with black currant as dessert. The best experience. Such a cozy place, nice servise and food was delicous. Remember to book a table in advance. ☺️
