I want to start off by saying I’ve been to the Antonio’s location in Livonia and Roman Village in Detroit numerous times and have always had great food and good service. I even had my rehearsal dinner at Roman Village for my wedding. That being said, this Canton location has really fell below the standards I expect from the Antonio’s restaurants. My family just celebrated my youngest daughter’s baptism this past weekend and we had a luncheon at Antonio’s (Canton). I was stunned by the number of family members that complained of rude and immature responses from the wait staff. There was also some weird responses from the staff about guests taking food home? The staff refused to let anyone take any boxed food out of the restaurant. It actually got to the point where one staff grabbed all the bowls of bread off the table after overhearing a family member say they would like to take some bread home. The staff’s response “You can’t take any of the food home. I don’t make the rules.” Funny thing is, we paid for all the food per person and ended up taking large tins of food home. Yet, the staff refused to let anyone take food home except for my wife and I. I can understand wanting to make sure the people that paid for the food can take home leftovers, but it felt very odd that the staff would act this way to customers without even discussing it with me and my wife. We told several people they could take food home just to have the staff respond like that. Also, the staff made a fuss over giving my wife a glass of water and a soda to go after we paid for an entire luncheon for 40 people. Needless to say, we won’t be returning to the Canton location. Sadly, it’s kind of soured our feelings towards the Livonia location and Roman Village as well. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $30–50 Food: 3 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 3

Nice italian restaurant with a large menu. Very happy they still serve veal - can't find it anywhere close to Ann Arbor. The bar seating is quite comfortable. The small soup that comes with meals is very large compared to other Italian restaurants and tasty. The bar tender was very attentive on my first visit. Pleasantly surprised when the bar tender packed up my leftovers. That happens way to infrequently at nice restaurants these days. I wish they took reservations as coming from 30 minutes away I will avoid busy times to then possibly having to wait an extended period for a table. Love love love Antonio's! They have great food, drinks and service. We've always had a good meal and experience here. Great for a nice dinner out or to celebrate a special occassion. Whether it's takeout or dine in, Antonio's is our go-to for delicious pasta, pizza and gelato! Antonio's Cucina Italiana is fantastic! The food is super tasty and feels like a genuine Italian experience. The staff is friendly, and the place has a cozy vibe. If you're into delicious, authentic Italian dishes, this spot is a winner!
Management here needs an attitude check and many adjustments. From the server Javier who didn’t seem like he really knew what he was doing(good kid just needs more training) to Joe(manager)who instead of making sure things were running properly is promoting for future events. Meanwhile other tables are waiting on more than just water and bread. After waiting for over an hour and twenty minutes, got up from the table to go see Joe(manager who saw us waving and kept walking the opposite direction) and when asked about the delay he said I’m not sure, I’ll go check. He never returned but we had another person named Scott who walked by the table and yelled “Your food is coming there’s a party of 18 in front of you” and without stopping disappeared and we didn’t see him again. RUDE AND NOT ACCEPTABLE. Not sure why he didn’t just stop and explain or offer some kind of accountability. He acted like when we came in the door there was a sign up that said CAUTION PARTY OF 18 IS IN FRONT OF YOUR DINNER PARTY PLEASE BE PATIENT! No sign was available so of course we had no idea. Next other tables started leaving and the delay just kept getting longer. Just as we we were getting ready to give up and walk out, the food came. Food came out hot but lacked flavor and most didn’t get eaten. This isn’t the first time we have had issues with this restaurant. It used to be run with care and finesse. Now it feels like the owners just expect everyone to just be okay with barely seasoned food, outdated scenery and terrible service. It’s already been over a year since my last attempt to eat here and this will definitely be my last. It shouldn’t take almost 3 hours to get a few orders of pasta out and management needs to have more respect for customers and concerns and don’t just walk by yelling excuses. Be upfront when people come in the door and be accountable for your staff and what’s coming out of the kitchen. I’ve been in and out of this place for the past 16 years and I cannot believe I had to do this review. Good Italian restaurant. They make their own pasta and everything tasted delicious and the service was excellent (besides the salad, mostly wet lettuce)! It did take awhile for the food to come out so definitely need to plan at least an hour. We were on a tight timelime so we had to rush out. They were off in telling us wait time for seating which we almost left but they sat us way quicker than what was said. We did come another time but again they said the wait was long and we left. They also had live performancing music. Definitely a nice atmosphere and will come back but I will make sure I have the time to enjoy the experience.
