Love this grocery store in Monterey..they have the best bakery stuff and pretty floral items. The meat and produce is always fresh too. There is also a Starbucks here and they have clean restrooms!
Had some food from their deli and buffet. Side of chicken breast and a few sides. Delicious. They had tables shaded by umbrellas outside.
Being so close to the Montery Bay Aquarium they should work towards having no plastics. We were served chicken in a plastic tray, and the box for the sides appears to be lined with plastic. Their silverware was compostable.
OMG, I had the best sandwich today from Andronicos deli. All week I was in the mood for a really good veggie sandwich and today I finally found it. I ordered a create your own sandwich on a white roll with Vermont cheddar, spinach, tomato, onion, lettuce, pickles and mustard. Basically it was a salad on a roll and it was exactly what I have been craving all week. The veggies were fresh and tasty, and the thick slices of pickle really set it off. There was just enough mustard without being overpowering or dry. I honestly can't say enough. Every bite got an "mmm". Can't wait until next time.
Produce selection was ok, quality is fairly good. Incredibly clean place overall. Service was good. We bought organic blueberries and they were very big but were a bit soft, kinda like a few weeks old.
Also got their sandwich/salad premade which were fresh and good. Even gave us an extra dressing pack, vn of them.
Fried chicken was $2/piece which no one said it was per piece so get that big thigh not the drum.
Last was the sbux inside… just skip please. I got a tall, and they charge >$1 more than the actual sbux. I checked and for .15 more I could go to the actual sbux a few blocks away and get a grande… .15 more.
Extremely friendly team members, great self serve soup, hot/cold and wing bar. Nice outdoor seating area for a quick stop. I’ve been here 3 times in the last 3 days and team are always impeccably kind and personable.
This supermarket was amazing! I wish I had remembered to take pictures inside. They have a wonderful deli, bakery, and even a Starbucks inside. We chose a quiche to take to our hotel to enjoy for breakfast the next morning. It was one of the best quiches we have had anywhere including Paris! The employees were pleasant and happy to help at Andronico's. We'll be back!
Great selection of food. I especially liked the freshly cut watermelon and ananas. They are sweet and smooth. There is a nice pumpkin installation at the entrance
Employees are so surly here. No hello, thank you, no response when we said something. Just rude. The deli lady was pretty nice, but cashier and bagger, no.
