This place is astonishing. Not only the waiter had in depth knowledge of wines they had on offer. The service was exceptional. And now the food. You can literally order any dish, if you not sure what it is, just ask. You won't be disappointed.
Oh and do not believe if the waiter provide information that the dish is small, you can call it anything but small (jk here portions are really big and reach of food to die for).
This is a very welcoming and cozy place. We started out with the beef tartar. If you love cranberry sauce, you’ll instantly fall in love with the duck dumplings or the roasted duck. Both were delicious dishes! I would recommend trying their homemade wine. We were impressed with this place. By far the best cranberry sauce I have eaten in a restaurant.
The atmosphere of old Jewish restaurant, with authentic food and immaculate service. Waiters who know wine list and menu. Pleasant surprise in the time when waiting service is usually not as well prepared and knowledgeable. Cooked to perfection dishes, fresh and tasty. And yes, the portions are enormous (especially main courses). You will not leave the place hungry.
Yes, it might be a bit more expensive than average restaurant, but the quality of the whole package is definitely worth much more than that.
5 star for the food, 5 star for the waiter till the moment we were paying the bill- the waiter gets 1 star in the end coz we got the feeling that he tried to cheat us. The bill was 271 pln, my friend who was paying with credit card said we will pay 290 pln as we wanted to also include a tip. The waiter repeated - 300 pln? We said, no, no, 290 pln. Then he put the number in the card reader - 320 pln. My friend was too embarrassed to say something about it and paid the price he entered. With 320 pln, we basically tipped 18% which is not the norm of 5-10% in Poland. Is it a miscommunication? We don’t know. But it left a very bad taste in our mouth. After the bill was paid, that waiter just disappeared. I guess we are just some one time tourists, there’s no next time anyway.
