My husband and I visited Amici’s on a Friday evening. We had to park next door because the parking lot was full. We arrived 20 minutes early for our 6:45 reservation and although it was very busy we were seated immediately. Our server was friendly and attentive. Our appetizers arrived quickly and was delicious. The owner Jennifer came around to check on us while we were waiting for our main course. That’s something you don’t get at a chain restaurant. My husband got the lasagna that he almost couldn’t finish which is rare. I got the spaghetti pescatori. The mussels were fresh and the shrimp were huge. Even though my meal was seafood it did not smell or taste “seafoody”. Everything was very fresh and tasted like authentic Italian cuisine. We were celebrating our wedding anniversary so are waitress gave us 2 lemon drop shots and a piece of carrot cake to share on the house! She also put a card with the bill wishing us a happy anniversary! Jennifer the owner came around for the second time to make sure we were satisfied with our meal and she also wished us a happy anniversary. This place is a hidden gem of North Charleston! My entire experience here was 5 stars! Thank you Amici’s for making our anniversary so special! Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $20–30 Recommended dishes Lasagna

Food and service outstanding. Jennifer the owner is very personable and took time to come over too our table and chat. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $50–100 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Veal Parmigiana
First off the hospitality is A1. Our server was very nice and attentive. The ambience is really nice and warm. The Italian music was nice. Now let's get to the food. It was just okay. The calamari didn't have much of a taste. Thank goodness for the marinara sauce that accompanied it. My spaghetti bolognese with meatballs was very bland and not seasoned at all. I added a little salt and it didn't help much. My husband did enjoy his veal and salad. The soup and bread were really good. We will probably return one day but we're definitely not in a hurry. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $10–20
Great little spot for very tasty Italian. The bolognese is fantastic, my wife has had the tortellini back to back. Try their version of honey mustard dressing on your salad, it’s so good. Service is excellent. Only down side is parking, but you can usually find a spot next door if it’s dinner time. I want to start off by saying, that the atmosphere by no means was bad, just don't expect the big chain restaurant ambiance. Both meals that we ordered. We're very tasty and we would get again. The restaurant wasn't extremely busy, only five other tables had guests at them, considering we got there not long after they opened. As we were leaving numerous other guests were entering so it was going to get busier. The service was very good! We plan to return. I've been so excited to try this place since we've moved to Charleston and it was worth it! This is the closest to true Italian food like "mama used to make," reminds me of the pizza/Italian restaurants of my childhood in NY. I had the eggplant rollatini, which was awesome! My husband made his own pasta dish and was somewhat disappointed in the Bolognese sauce, no cream in the sauce and it was missing that "umami" flavor (ITKYK). Nonetheless, we will make it a point to go back as it truly satisfies that real old school Italian that can't really be found elsewhere in Charleston. Overpriced & overrated. If you’re a northern transplant- lower your expectations. Ordered the chicken parmigiana ($17.99) and a soup ($2 extra). The menu said either a soup or garden salad was included with the meal. Upon ordering our meals, the server still gave us the option of a soup or salad. She lacked to inform us that about a month ago the menu changed (soup was an up charge). We had only learned this by checking the bill and confronting our waitress about it at the end of the meal. Had I’d known, I wouldn’t have ordered it. Food tasted alright but there are certainly better options around Charleston. Disappointed in the small portion for the price of the meal. Also, beware that a convenience fee will be added to your bill if paying with card. All around, I’m incredibly disappointed considering the wonderful reviews this place has gotten. It felt deceitful.
