After a couple substandard service experiences from another east county bike shop I gave Alpine Ride Shop a shot. I couldn't be happier. Chris was friendly, had my bike ready on time at a fair price and most importantly got rid of my creak. If your not happy with your usual bike shops service give Alpine Ride Shop a chance
I was on a road trip and severely tweaked my rear derailleur on a twig on Palomar Mountain. After being told by a San Diego shop that I'd need to wait a week to get it replaced, I happened to stop in Alpine for gas and saw this bike shop across the street. It didn't look busy on a Sunday afternoon, so I decided to see if they could do the repair while I waited. I was really happy when he was able to do it right then, and the labor was only $10! It was great to be able to finish my trip with a working bike!
I went into the bike shop with a new front derailleur thinking that my old one stopped working. They put it up the service rack and I was told, “you don’t need a new one. Give me a minute readjust the derailleur”. 10 minutes later it was all fixed. I know that I got lucky not needing to replace my old derailleur but the best was yet to come. I asked how much I owed and was told, “ nothing, I hardly spent any time on it and we are your local bike shop.” It’s times like this that remind me that I need to support all of my local small businesses.
Great service! I’m from México and I bought a frame, fork and other stuff. They have competitive prices. Chris solved all my doubts through Instagram, and did everything to get me the frame that I wanted.
My husband and I dropped in today to get a couple beginner bikes to play around on trails with. Chris, Tony (and Ranger) were very helpful and friendly! We were able to try out the bikes and they answered all our questions. We came away from the experience with an incredible amount of quality equipment for the price. I highly recommend this shop to anyone in the area!

Dropper post issue. Mostly I got criticism for a seat post bag and my front roll altering cable routing.
I Have a n electric mountain bike: Specialized Turbo Levo Comp, which I destroyed on a recent outing, broke chain and derailleur shifting gears under extreme pressure. I took my bike to place of purchase (Hollands) and was told sorry it will take about 6 months to get the part and repair. Not accepting that answer I found the part online from a company in Escondido. I got the part and decided to take it to Chris in Alpine after my best friend said his kids use that shop. I called Chris and explained things to him (inaccurately by the way) he told me to bring it up and he could have it out in a week. I did so and while I was there he put it up on the stand did the repair while I was filling out the paperwork (new derailleur, new chain, new cable and adjustments) all while I was busy filling out form. 30 minutes later I was out the door and back on the road. Chris was friendly, knowledgeable and proficient. I will be a life long customer! Thanks Chris I can ride again in less than a week down time!
I've come by a couple of times to purchase different things for my bike but and the service they give is superb and you can't beat their prices. Last time I was there I bought something for my car and it turns out it work perfectly but and want to thank you guys for helping me out. Here is the outcome tnx.
Great local bike shop! Prices compare or are lower than any big box retail shops. Customer service is always great. Will do bike repairs same day versus a couple week wait at other big name shops. If they don’t have what you need they can get it very quickly. Support local business and bike shops.
